[TISL]

NOTHING EVER CHANGES (here's hoping for a peaceful game!)

[GypsySorcerer]

I will Run to You.

[Johnny Stew]

Well, I know it's a favorite of a few people around here, but it's the weakest song on the album, IMO....

"Gate And Garden."

(Oh, and don't worry, Jacob... despite all the resent-laden criticism we receive, us so-called "Chiffon Heads" play nice and play fair. :) ;) )

[DeadliestPoison]

GATE AND GARDEN.

[77Rumours77]

i vote for Gate and Garden. good song, Its not the best though

[thepoetinmyhear]

I also vote to evict gate and Garden. This song seems totally unispired to me.

"There is a gate
It can be guarded
Well it is not heaven
And it has a garden"

UGH. Good to know that it's not heaven, but wait, there's a garden. Those have to be the most unconnected thoughts especially when using and instead of but or perhaps not joining them at all would have been better.

[xdreamsunwindx]

Gate and Garden. Eugh.

[TheBlueLamp]

Oh no! One of my favourites is gonna be out in the first round. I'll go with "I Will Run To You"

[ryan8472]

Gate And Garden

[ShamHy89]

Gate and Garden...it's definitely the weakest.

Shamus

[jwd]

Gate And Garden. It never really appealed to me.

[dissention]

If Anyone Falls

One of her weakest. I love Gate and Garden. :sorry:

[ontheEdgeof17]

I Will Run To You.

I like it, but the chorus doesn't do it for me. ....Dislike the rungs for the word "I".

Pity, "Gate And Garden" might as well be one of my favorite Stevie songs EVER.

[NoThatFunny]

Oh, fun, a new game! This will keep us busy until the Tusk game gets sorted out. Iwould like to place my vote now:

Bye Beauty and the Beast

[CarneVaca]

Hmmmm... a new game, eh? I am going to vote to drop

Just like to correct something. I know its silly but I can't forget it (lol) so Jacob, is not Stable on Blonde is Sable on Blonde. I think your fingers betrayed you there a little. lol

Sable on Blonde must go. I love the excalibur part, but The rest is so bleh. What is with all the Beauty and the Beast hatred though? That's one of the best songs on Wild Heart! Is it just that it was a more popular song/played at concerts and thus some of you are sick of it or are you just crazy?

Michael

[Claudia]

Again, this won't change anything but I vote for - Enchanted.

[tynan88]

Bad, bad, bad song (hehe had to make the post up to 10 characters long).

Sable On Blond or is that Stable On Blonde. ;) Either way it needs to get the hell out of town.

I just think it's too much to handle. Way too melodramatic for my tastes, and that's saying a lot.

I know, Sable On Blonde is one of my all-time faves and puts the likes of Stand Back and Enchanted to shame. And that vocal on Gate and Garden is enough to keep it around for a little while longer.

Get ready to gas up the oven if Stand Back wins.

The studio version of Stand Back is not good, compared to what she is doing now. It really seems to drag, IMO. Too bad Sable on Blonde, a fantastic piece of work, will go before Stand Back.

Hello everyone:
I wanted to let the fans know that I will be auctioning off the painting that Christine did for me for my birhday in the early 1980's.
I worked with Christine during that year and as part of a birthday present, she painted me a beautiful moon, sky and tree painting and signed it by saying "Dear _________, It's not good enough for you, but it's mine Tons & Tons of love and happiness Love Chris XXXXX,

Since this is of a private nature, I want it to go to a fan thatr truly appreciates this artist and this band.

If anyone is interested before the auction, please let me know

I like my Beauty and the Beast with Linda Hamilton, not sugary melodrama.

Uhm, I loved it too... but the 'Beauty And The Beast' TV series was most definitely sugary melodrama! ;)

Whisperered poetry... lush background music... burning candles... "mood lighting" in every scene... soft-focus close-ups on Linda Hamilton... Vincent always saving Catherine, and then having to escape before anyone spotted him... various people discovering the underground and threatening to expose it... Father fretting everytime Vincent went above....
Yep, definitely sugary melodrama. :xoxo:

Crap... now I'm really stuck on what to vote for next. Grrrrr

I'd hate to see "Beauty And The Beast" go. :(
I love that song so much.... "my love is a man who's not been tamed... oh, my love lives in a world of false pleasure and pain... we come from different worlds, but we are the same... I never doubted your beauty, I've changed...."

*sighs* So incredible.

Ok... anyway.... I've decided to go with "Nothing Ever Changes."
It's a great song, but I have to vote for something!

[dreamongypsydkm]

This is the only song I skip on the album. I will vote until it's gone. It was great as a piano demo, but the album version is so over-produced. The strings kill me.

[heyjupiter678]

the album version is so over-produced.
I agree. I don't think I've listened to the album version once since I heard the blues jam demo.

[David]

If Anyone Falls
How horrible. Everybody seems to be voting off this rockin' tune.

Time for a little anecdote: When my bud & I saw Stevie the first time since the release of "The Wild Heart," it was at the Irvine Meadows show. Tapes were circulating of the tour already, but I had them stacked up & waiting until after I saw the concert. I used to like surprises in those days. So we sat there watching Stevie kill the crowd . . . "Gold Dust Woman," "Outside the Rain," "I Need to Know," "Sara". . . & my friend turns to me & yells, "If she doesn't do 'If Anyone Falls,' we're leaving." I agreed with her joke about walking out if we didn't hear "If Anyone Falls."

And fuh-shizzz! It followed "Sara"!! And man was it good. And I've loved it ever since -- she couldn't even butcher it on the Timespace Tour! It withstood the 1991 Stevie!

[David]

"Nothing Ever Changes" is sooooooooooooo much better than this song!!!!

Yo mama!!!

I am voting for Enchanted this round!

[Johnny Stew]

Wow, Tiffany... you got your vote in JUST under the wire!

And I believe we now have a tie!

[77Rumours77]

Tonight is tribal counsel.....
The votes show that Beauty And The Beast has the most votes, Bueaty And The Beast please the the tribal counsel area immediately, All other head back to camp..

This song needs to go!

[saradorna]

Voting off Enchanted.

Isabel

[golden braid]

I have a feeling Enchanted will get the boot this time.

[dissention]

One thing I've noticed around here, is that there usually isn't much love for Stevie's "prettier," more feminine and romantic songs. I'm not sure why that it is, but I usually think they're among her best.

Sable On Blonde is much more prettier and feminine than Beauty and the Beast, IMO, and it was the second one kicked off. Probably because it was my fave off the album. Damn you people and your spite votes. :p

[dissention]

Stand Back

Sure, it's an upbeat song and it has a lot of good qualities. But one of her best? Far, far from it. Out of all the songs left, it's the worst one.

[GypsySorcerer]

Wild Heart.

[Cristian]

What a terrific song... but I like the others more.

[heyjupiter678]

My least favorite of the ones left - Enchanted.

[markolas]

I can't believe B&TB got voted off. Hmph. I'm still going with Stand Back.

[xdreamsunwindx]

It has to go.

*cough*saveEnchanted*cough*

DJLKASDHKSAJAS. I can't believe you guys got rid of BATB. -_- -_- -_-

[markolas]

DJLKASDHKSAJAS. I can't believe you guys got rid of BATB. -_- -_- -_-

I know. It's the best song on the album.

[Johnny Stew]

Wait, wait, wait!
Before anyone else votes, I think we need to pause the game!

"Beauty And The Beast" wasn't eliminated... we have a tie between it and "Enchanted."

I noticed when Jacob tallied the votes, he accidentally listed Claudia as a vote against "Beauty And The Beast," but in her subject line she wrote "Round 6 - Enchanted."
What might have caused the confusion was that in her text she wrote: Argh... 'Beauty and the Beast' can't go.... :(

So we actually need a tiebreaker vote now, between "Beauty And The Beast" and "Enchanted."

That's cool if that's how you're doing it, but when "If Anyone Falls" and "Nothing Ever Changes" were just tied, we all voted again to break the tie in an Elimination round....

So I just thought that's how we'd be doing it this time around too.

[face of glass]

Regardless of how you decide to proceed with the voting from now on, I will vote to drop this song.

[thepoetinmyhear]

I'm not Jacob, obviously, but I suspect the reason we had an elimination round with IAF and NEC is because they were tied for total votes in the game as well as in the round. In this case, sadly, Beauty and the Beast does have more total votes. CURSE YOU ALL!

Michael

[dreamongypsydkm]

Who cares about the technical crap.. let's get on with this before it gets ruined.

[Hippocampus]

Enchanted again.

[jwd]

I have to put some text in here, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. :)

Nice try, but BATB got the most votes in previous rounds. ;)

Stand Back

I would cry......
.......if you don't get voted off.

[TheBlueLamp]

The live version rocks, but I'm not crazy about the album version

[eclipse]

I am new to this game---but if it is about the worst song???
it can't be Enchanted- It's the only song that sounds like they are having fun and singing and it's not overly produced like beauty and the beast and gate and garden--C'mon, she is/was a rocker (at least some of the time)

[TISL]

ROUND 7 ENCHANTED

[dissention]

Stand Back

[Nightbird_Brett]

I vote for Enchanted.

[ryan8472]

I vote for Nightbird

Let me also jump on the SAVE ENCHANTED bandwagon.

[Lala]

Enchanted..................

[thepoetinmyhear]

Sorry, it's just a bit too off kilter.

[markolas]

I'm *still* going with Stand Back. Though I have a feeling Wild Heart will get the ax this round, thusly eliminating the two best songs on the album.

[DeadliestPoison]

Just !@#$ing DIE already!!!

[thepoetinmyhear]

Great picture sleeve, every thing else, eh. (at least compared with the greatness that is Wild Heart and Stand Back)

Michael

Nothing Ever Changes should have won, but since that is gone.....GO NIGHTBIRD!

Stand Back has to go.
