I am going to start learning to speak/read Cherokee ("Tsa-la-gi"), Which looks very easy if you can learn the 85 letters of the alphabet.

I'd love to learn Italian. My mom's side is Italian; my grandmother can speak a few words, but no one is fluent, unfortunately.

On a side note, I wish the US emphasized learning other languages more...You know the saying: "If you speak three languages, you're trilingual; two, you're bilingual; and one, you're an American." ;)

Spanish. I studied it for nearly four years and am kicking myself now for not continuing to read and speak it. I can still read simple sentences but can barely speak it. I've been thinking about doing the cd thing. I have to get a hang of the progressive tense again.

Italian, for a language to match my expressions
But I love the way French sounds.
I took 1 french class, and i was like, no way...I get really nervous when you have to answer in class, and the teacher just calls on you...performance anxiety!
I took Spanish 3 yrs but was better at grammar and pronunciation than speaking it myself.

Portuguese.

Really?! That would be brave of you, Portuguese can be hard to learn, especially the grammar and the pronounciation. But I hope you get to learn it!

Heh. Well, I've picked up some things by listening to Nelly Furtado (or at least she songs she does in Portuguese, like Onde Estas, Scared Of You, etc). Which is lame, but whatever. And I know a liiittle bit of Spanish (enough to get by), and I figured there's a lot of similar words.

But either way, it's something I'd like to pursue. :)

Good choice, Ali! Ganbatte! ('Go for it')

Judging from my typing skills I think that I should be concentrated on English more than anything. ;)

Aah Nelly Furtado! That's great, that she is making people more interested in Portugal and Portuguese. Yes it is quite similar to Spanish.

Good luck with it! Or in portuguese - Boa sorte! :)
