Is anybody here familiar with Stoke-on-Trent?

Stoke is the "sister city" of my hometown of East Liverpool, OH. About six years ago, a local doctor was doing a geneology project and discovered that many of his ancestors came to our town from Stoke, as did many ancestors of East Liverpool citizens. A group of the Stoke Youth came over to celebrate my hometown's bicentennial, and their Lord Mayor has made several visits here, as have people from my town gone to Stoke.

There's even a little bed and breakfast here, the rooms of which are named after areas of Stoke-on-Trent.
