Aaawww, I literally grew up watching her - my mom loved her. I remember my mom just HAD to make a chocolate mousse within minutes of one of Julia's shows ending. LOL

And who could forget the classic SNL skit w/ Dan Aykroyd as Ms. Child? "Save the liver!"

*sigh* Good times....

Oh, and who are you kidding...you were going to have a martini anyway ;)

I used to watch her with my father a lot when I was a child and yes, I think we do own a few of her cookbooks. RIP, Julia

This is very sad. :distress: My grandmother used to love her show. In fact, she actually dined in a restaurant in our little town a few years ago. I don 't remember why she was here, but her accent was the best!

Julia was a great broad... so strong and opinionated, and yet always very classy.

She will be missed.

Julia Child was one of those people who was NEVER suppose to die. A cooking icon indeed, here's another day ruined because of someone dying. Lord only knows how I'm going to get when Stevie leaves us too -- hopefully that won't be for a while though!

I still can't believe this, she was so awesome! :distress:

Julia had her appointment with infinity. What a legacy she left.

I thought she was a pretty cool lady. I watched her show occasionally when I was a kid and she always made me laugh, not to mention that she was a fab-o chef. She will be missed.

She was cool. I wonder how Martha Stewart feels?
