Kiss bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has posted the following message at his official website (www.genesimmons.com):

“Having the time of my life on Tour with KISS... my favorite band. Everyone shows up on time. No one complains. Everyone is straight (ie-No drugs). And, most important of all (and probably because of the aforementioned), we rock every night. The band has never sounded better. Don't take my word for it. Ask the fans.

Yesterday had a day off and MSNBC'S Scarborough Country had me on the air to comment about the deluge of celebrities getting involved in politics. On the panel were Ron Reagan, Pat Buchanan and Scarborough. My stance has always been the same. I am no one's mouthpiece and I have no political agenda. I was a big fan of Pres Clinton and I support Pres Bush's foreign policy. I may not agree with all of the stances our President takes (disagree on Stem Cell research, separation of Church and State, Environmental issues, and Abortion). However, this is a time of war. I can worry about the other issues next year.

Politics are very self serving. We all know the same thing... which is to say, a Terrorist doesn't really hate Democrats or Republicans. He hates AMERICANS. All this infighting within the political parties is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. We need to shut up and get rid of the worldwide menace. Then we can turn on each other and fight all the petty, non-life threatening political battles.

And finally and for the record, if Mr. Kerry is elected President I will certainly support him. I also believe his foreign policy wouldn't be all that different from Mr. Bush's. The troops must finish the job. NOW. And, they will.”

He was on MSNBC last week and made a fool out of himself. He claimed that even if a president is screwing up really bad, you should still vote for them because you "can't change horses in the middle of a stream."

Well said, Tongue. Reminds me of when Stevie ignorantly said that celebrities shouldn't voice there opinion during a war.

Gene Simmons was born in Israel. His real name is Chaim Witz. As such, he may have a more vested interest in a US policy toward Iraq.
Above all else, he seems to worship the almighty dollar, something he and the Bush administration have in common.

Most celebrities worship the almighty dollar. Liberal celebrities (and the few conservative ones, too, of course) live more extravagantly and luxuriously than anybody. Barbra Streisand would no more give up her riches than President Bush would. Fleetwood Mac (supposedly liberal, not counting John) are some of the most money-hungry people one could name. ;)

someone would agree

I'm not a Gene Simmons or Kiss fan what-so-ever (Outgrew 'em years ago when the makeup came off the first time in the early 80's), But I did like the one paragraph which led me to post his opinion, One that is very true:

"Politics are very self serving. We all know the same thing... which is to say, a Terrorist doesn't really hate Democrats or Republicans. He hates AMERICANS. All this infighting within the political parties is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. We need to shut up and get rid of the worldwide menace. I wished both political parties would quit fighting long enough to do something to protect ALL Americans before a disaster on a scale WORSE than 9-11 happens...But I feel that will never happen (Due to this being an election year) and even more Americans will suffer due to all the political bickering!!!

Shrub is a "mental midget", though not exactly smart enough to be a worldwide menance (Though alot in the world will disagree with that statement)

Actually that's correct. He just does what that evil Dick "Man behind the curtain" Cheney tells him too. Cheney's the real menace.
