I just got home from seeing this movie..I come home with mixed emotions. I went to the movie alone, and I couldn't think of anyone to take with me who would actually understand what was going on (sad isn't it?)
Whether you agree with some of the things in this film, you cannot look over what's there...the majority of the movie is actual interviews and excerpts from administration officials and many others...I would say for everyone to see it...it can open a lot of eyes...More thoughts on this later

I left the theater very angry--mostly at my own party (Democrats) for letting the Repugs walk all over them. I went to see it by myself too.

Glad you liked it. :wavey:
I'm glad that it comes out on DVD a month before the election!

The film begins with coverage of the 2000 election , containing MANY video clips from various news sources...and mentions how Fox News was the first to call the election for Bush, with Bush's first cousin John Ellis running its election desk, was the first to project Florida -- and the presidency for Bush.
And also discusses how the vote total was certified by Florida's secretary of state, Katherine Harris, head of the Bush campaign in Florida, on behalf of Gov. Jeb Bush. It next showed video footage of Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus trying repeatedly to challenge the assignment of Florida's 25 electoral votes to Bush….many Democrats followed suit, seeking to force a debate on the validity of Florida's vote on the grounds that all votes may not have been counted and that some voters were wrongly denied the right to vote.... although the Caucus failed because of the lack of support of any senator...it was obviously a very emotional session, something I had missed, likely from watching biased news sources during that time...
It then went into details and showed video of the thousands of protestors who greeted Bush's motorcade during the inauguration parade...
I also found it very interesting the footage of Bush's many many many vacations before 9/11, including the longest presidential vacation in 32 yrs, being Bush's month long stay at his Crawford ranch..
The alleged ties of the Bush and Bin Laden families, although I know are hotly disputed right now...are presented with very clear and believable footage...
The whole thing was interesting...and mainly made up of, like I said, videos of Bush, in his own words, and other members of the administration....It's a solemn movie to watch, but very recommended.

What did you think of the clip where he was at La Ranch and telling the reporter that Karen Hughes was coming over to "do some stuff" and "look at some briefs"?

Very interesting...all of the clips...I enjoyed the one where he was playing golf and discusses terrorism and then says "ok now watch this drive.."
The interview with the lady who lost her son in Iraq was touching...and especially the footage from Baghdad was very intense...
Also another interesting part was when Michael Moore was filming a building, cant rememeber what it was...and interviewing someone....but the building contained a high ranking official of Saudi Arabia (someone correct me on these details) and was immediately approached by the Secret Service and questioned why he was filming...and Michael even asked them "Is it normal for Secret Service to guard a foreign official?" and they said "no"

The Saudi Embassy. That was one of my favorite parts, it was hysterical.
Lila Lipscomb was torture to watch, her story was heartbreaking. Who cannot be moved to tears by that? And when she went to the White House? I almost lost it.

The first half was better than the second, IMO. It felt like more than one movie.
For me the most moving & frustrating part was the parade of African American House Rep.s in the Senate saying they could not get one signature, and Al Gore being the one to dismiss their requests by means of procedure.
You can't make this storyline up, who'd believe it.
