View Full Version : Do You Wear Jewelry?

I wear a chain with my Hebrew name on it, but that's it unless you count a watch. I hate rings. Hate the feel on my hands when I'm writing or working out. Plus I've lost every ring I've ever worn, including an heirloom that had caused a family feud (actually, I'm sure that one was stolen by a college girlfriend's housemate while I was in the shower  ). For my Confirmation a family friend gave me a blank ID bracelet - she wasn't sure what name exactly I'd want engraved, so I was supposed to give it back to her with instructions. It's still sitting here untouched almost twenty years later. Just couldn't do the bracelet thing. I have no piercings either, so I guess you can say that I wear almost no jewelry ever.
So what jingles on you? ;)

I usually wear my G-cleff and silver crescant moon necklaces, and I normally wear silver hoop earrings or these silver dangle-y ones with tiny faux diamonds on the end. I'm not a big fan of gold, incase it isn't obvious ;). Sometimes I'll wear an ankle bracelet, if I'm wearing a skirt or dress. I rarely wear rings. Sometimes I'll wear black rubber bracelets. It depends on what I'm wearing, really.

Silver is nice.
Nice to know I'm not the only ring un-fan. I'll add that toe rings look pretty uncomfortable.

well, I wear the same earrings everyday...four loops in each ear (small loops) On dressy occassions I have dressier earrings...
Once in a while I wear rings...my mom bought me a beautiful ring w/ my birthstone on it for graduation...also I have a plain silver band as well as a spoon ring I wear...I wear the spoon ring on my left middle finger, the ring my mom gave me on my right middle finger and the band on my left pointer finger :)
Once in a while I also wear necklaces...either hemp or a really cool one my boyfriend gave me that was made by someone in the art department of our school...
for dressier occassions I have a silver chain that has a small treble cleff charm on it...
I'm not too fancy when it comes to jewelry....and I hate gold...I don't ever wear anything gold...

I love rings, although I don't wear them anymore, as I'm a hermit right now, working at home and never going out much. LOL I used to wear rings and necklaces to church (I'm a heathen now, as I don't attend anymore.:( ) but I'm not really into jewelry. I don't have any piercings, never have. I remember wearing clip-on earrings when I was around 12 or something, but that didn't last long as they hurt my ears...oh, and I looked stupid. LOL Me being a tomboy and all, that didn't fly well with me.
Rings and necklaces are okay, but only if I'm going to church, a wedding or something.

At work, I don't wear a LOT of jewelry, a pair of hoop earrings, two rings (each ring finger) and a watch.
On my off time, then yep, I wear a lot of jewelry. I have 3 piercings in each ear, so I fill those up. I wear four rings typically (both ring fingers, left index finger and right thumb), my watch and sometimes bracelets/necklaces, sometimes toe rings. Incidentally, Jake, some toe rings ARE uncomfortable and some you can't even feel you have on. And I don't wear rings when I work out. They're not good to lift weights with.
All silver, btw. I rarely wear gold, but I do put it on occasionally.

I used to be into wearing jewelry but a few years ago I started having an allergic reaction to nickel so I can't wear much anymore... it takes me months to find a watch that I can wear if mine breaks because they all have metal somewhere on them that's close to the skin. I have a Lego watch that I've vowed never to part with for that reason. :) I wear earrings if I remember to, but more often than not I forget... Sometimes I'll wear a necklace, I have a treble clef one I wear for special occasions. I used to like to wear rings but now all they do is bother me.. I'm more of a bracelet/anklet person (if I can find any that don't have nickel in them).

I had a colleague in Austin who wore more than you described in your off-hours. She was the total TX stereotype. Big hair, the accent, the makeup, the smile, the glitter everywhere.

Ah, a post about one of my favorite things.
Daily, I wear some sort of necklace or pendant. (A cross, charm. etc.) I always wear my rings (unless I'm doing an activity like camping) and I wear about five of them. For dressier occasions, I'll wear a bracelet. During the summer, I wear ankle bracelets sometimes and/or toe rings. One thing I rarely wear are earrings. I only have one hole in each ear, and my earlobes are very sensitive and rip easily, so I can't wear hoops or dangly earrings at all. And I always wear a watch. Most of my jewelry is silver/white gold, except my watch is two-tone.

I love jewelry. I always have to wear rings, but not on every finger, that doesn't look good. Just a few nice ones. I almost always have a necklace on, I got a pretty, big malachite pendant that looks like an 8 recently, and I wear it a lot. I have a toe ring that my mom got me for my birthday last year, and suprisingly I can wear it with shoes and rollerblades and i don't feel it, so I just keep it on. The only piercings I currently wear are the twins. (you don't want to take those ones in and out much. ) I have my tongue pierced but am not currently wearing it. I did that on my 23rd b-day, so I'm kinda over it, sometimesa i'll put it in. A long time ago I had my eyebrow and nose pierced, but those didn't look good so i let them close up right away. I have 3 holes in each ear, but got that during highschool (I got grounded for piercing them myself :D ) My earlobes and ears are small, so i wear small earings. Sometimes I only wear one pair. Oh, yeah, my belly button is pierced, too.
On my fantasy world, me and my friends or whoever, would all live on a warm island, and we'd just wear beautifully designed jewelry on our bodies, instead of clothing  . Everyone would be in really good shape, too.

I'm all about rubber bracelets. I have 1 silvery blue, 1 orange, 1 red, 1 white, 1 silver (all from friends), 6 normal blue, and 16 black. So 27 total. And I wear all those on my right arm.
On my left arm, lol, I have a red beaded bracelet from my sister, a wooden bead bracelet from my ex, a paperclip/safetypin bracelet from my best friend Nicole, and a fake leopard print with silver studs (I guess that's what you'd call them) bracelet from my sister.

I wear the ring & necklace BF bought me every day (although I'm tiring of the necklace. I could use a bigger ring too, lol.) I put in earrings daily, always silver, never gold! Funny thing about me and jewlery I own a TON of it (my aunt owned a jewlery store:) and often forget to wear any of it. I sometimes wear earrings and possibly necklaces, but usually just a watch. I have about ten necklaces that I love and about five sets of earrings. I'm probably also one of the few girls that would hate getting jewlery from a guy since essentially it would mean they know nothing about me

I can't even wear a watch. Jewelry annoys me. The only reason I am on time is my cell phone. I will put on a few gifts of jewelry I was given - my grandfather's crucifix - a few rings, if I am going to some concert and need to get all flashy and rock and roll looking. Other than that never. Even took out my earring 5 years ago. Too much work.

I like jewelry bought for me (not expensive, though, i wear silver. $20 tops! :D ) but i certainly don't expect it or really care. You could bring me a leaf, and i'd be like "AAAAHHH, A PRESENT!!! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!"
It's kind of more that someone had the sentiment to THINK of bringing you a present that is important, rather than what the present actually is. Like when you're other randomly picks up yummy food you like, or is suddenly like "wanna go (wherever you like to go)? C'mon!"
But it doesn't count if someone buys you a present cause they want it! Unless you ALSO want it, as in, you BOTH would want it.

I wear one of my many Mickey Mouse watches, a ring on my right hand Jason bought me for my 25th birthday, I wear his gold rope necklace with the Cruicifix on it, and a small silver box chaing with a dragonfly charm on it my Mommy bought me for Christmas last year. Women near where I grew up as well. Ask Marissa how much she loves Cherry Hill (near & similar to here).
- Jake
I don't know what that means, but seriously, do you and Marissa know each other? :xoxo:

I'd rather have a root canal than stay in Cherry Hill any longer than i'm required. Too many rich women spending Daddy Warbucks money and OLD Jewish women with nothing to do but get their hair done 10 times a week.

I love jewelry! All kinds from Silver to Gold to trinkets.
I have a few things I wear everyday like my small gold hoop earrings, my sterling chain with an amethyst teardrop charm, my great aunt's class ring which became my class ring and three ankle bracelets-one is silver, one is leather and one is twine with glass beads.
I don't wear some of my favorites unless I am going out as they are not sturdy enough to withstand daily wear at the office~my 18th birthday ring an opal surrounded by rubies, a purple star sapphire ring I won on Ebay and a sterling charm bracelet that belonged to my mom and was given to me as a Christmas gift (it had about 5 charms but I have filled it up) so I may need to start another one.

I have TONS of jewelry. Both gold and silver. I had a gold chain with a gold angel pendant medallion that I wore all of last year and to about every show that I went to in 2003. I can't seem to find it now but I am sure that it is around somewhere in my house.
I wear a gold ring with an amethyst on one side and a topaz on the other with 2 small diamonds in the middle. I wear it on my left hand and I never take it off. Neither of these are my birthstone, that would be emerald. I have a few emerald rings that I never wear. I LOVE emeralds however.
I always wear a watch but not for the last few weeks. I have had bad luck with them.
I used to have pierced ears but I never wore earrings so the holes are now closed.
I also have a bunch of costume jewelry including some Kirk's Follys stuff but that is mostly due to the fact that they have a semi-annual 'sale" here in Rhode Island.

I love jewelry! Every day I wear my wedding & engagement rings, watch, a Mother's bracelet and a ring on my right hand that varies from day to day. Sometimes it's a 3 stone anniversary ring or a channel set saphire/diamond band (fake, btw). Sometimes I wear a thumb ring that is 3 intertwined silver bands. But that one bothers me at depos. I also wear two pairs of earrings, one pair is small diamond studs that I never take out. They're in the second holes. Then I usually wear silver hoops, or some other silver pair. My left ear is pierced three times, but I never put anything in the top. It bothers me. I also have other bracelets I'll wear on occasion, like a 4 strand red beaded thing from Express that I'll wear when I'm wearing red. I also like to wear anklets and toe rings. And no, the toe rings don't bother me. But I only wear them with sandals, not with regular shoes.

LOL!! I really don't~~considering the stuff I wear. The charm bracelet is the one piece where you can definitely hear me coming! I don't wear it too often.
I don't usually wear rings, but I want to try to wear them on a more regular basis again. I tend to go through phases with these things.
These days, I have a silver cross necklace I wear most days or this necklace which is sometimes called "my oracle." Many a guy have tried to get me to tell them their fortune. I just think they wanted to get closer to my rack.
Earrings... I have silver balls that I wear all the time. Heee.

Rack of Merf is quite the delicacy, but not accompanied by dangling balls. :wavey:

If I could figure out where the disc was to upload pictures on my computer, i'd show you. I wear a watch usually...black leather (i know, big shock) with two little buckles on it and a rectangular face with rhinestones down the side. I also have another watch that's silver with a powder blue face that my cousin purchased for me a few years ago (he's mega cheap so I treasure the watch and the fact he dropped a dime to buy it). I used to wear rings but anymore, I haven't been. I wear earrings all the time and I usually have a charm bracelet on and my heart bracelet (not the overrated hideous one from Tiffany's). Also, I have a silver bracelet with pink stones on it and symbols from the Chateau Chenonceau in France that I absolutely love.

Hah! That happens to me too when I wear my pentacle. Guys will be all "What's that necklace of?" And tried to get hella close to me and reach out for it! WTF! I could easily put those guys in jail heh (Me being 17, those guys usually being 19 and older..)
I forgot to mention my ears heh, I have lots of piercings on my ears, and always wear earings and such

I'm not answering you. I just know this is a set up to loot us. You've been watching all of us for a while, asking pointed questions, trying to figure out when we're gone, what kind of homes we live in, whether or not we're jet setters. Paranoid??? Not me. Nevah!!! ;)
