Red Rover Demos...

Do they exist...I have been lead to believe the lyrics are a bit different to the finished product...anyone shed any light on the topic for me...or even better does anyone have a RR demo they could send me?

If you go to the 3 Birds of Rhiannon website...and go to the lyrics section and look under the GOS Demos it has RR there and it has a different verse,:

Am I the only one who remembers lyrics that were leaked that were even more different from this? I don't know if it was actually ever recorded but I do believe it was penned...something about "...under the covers...let's play red rover."

Those lyrics you posted were just words we misheard before we got the actual lyrics.

I know someone posted the verses as...."When your lonley, lets go under the covers, lets play red rover." Something like that.

If there are any RR demos, I will kill a man for them.

I thought someone actually had written lyrics to the song before we even knew there'd be a GOS album but maybe i'm wrong :shrug:

Hi Tynan,

Those are the guesses I made as to what was being said before we had the actual lyrics - that man is so hard to understand, it's a wonder I got as much right as I did, lol.

Marissa is referring to something else entirely. The "under the covers" lyrics pre-date the leak of the GOS song. They were leaked out years ago - not sure by whom. It was the first time most of the fan community had heard that Lindsey had a song called "Red Rover." Those lyrics have not yet appeared on a circulating demo.

Oh well...thanks for your help anyway guys, hopefully we see some soon, because RR is an intriguing song and somehow even before i realised how dark the lyrics were...it always made me feel sad but strong, it would be interesting to be able to understand some of the development process for what I personally consider to be one of Lindsey's best songs ever, I wish it could get more recognition, I would love to see it played on the next global tour so I can actually see it live.
