Am I the only one who thinks that this had to be one of the most amazing speeches ever given? This man has it down on what it is to be an American. The crowd was so energized! I just wondered how many others found him someone who is probably going to be around in the Democratic party for a long time...

but I appreciated Ron Reagan's speech, Considering the touchy subject of stem cell research. (He even mentioned how it could cure lymphoma, Which is what my wife is still suffering from).
I would have payed more attention earlier, But the Oklahoma primary results are coming in. Gonna be great to see Democrat Carson going against Republican Coburn for the US Senate.
I like Carson, His ad stating how those in Washington DC care little about Oklahoma and that neither party has the mutual license to lie was the best political ad I have seen this year...Period!

I am not a "Franken-Kerry" backer, I have to say his wife should be the One running for President...I'd vote her after the speech she gave (Time to turn the mute button back on.)

There were so many great speeches given tonight from Barack, Ron, and especially Teresa. She is an amazing woman with her own opinions. She is just extremely wise and enchanting. I hope she takes a very active role when John is elected. I would fully support a Teresa for President movement. That would be great! Again, I love her as much as I do Hillary -- and that is a hard status to obtain. I mean, so far it only belongs to Hillary, Stevie, and now Teresa. :D

Oh yes. Obama is an up and coming star in the party. He was right on the money with his speech tonight. He will go far. Best of all, he is running unopposed.

I loved the way she greeted the crowd-in five different languages! Unfortunately for us, she was born in Mozambique, so she can't run for president. Her charitable foundation gives tons of money to left wing causes. She also is on the board of the Brookings Institution. What a woman! :)

I didn't even know they had Democrats in our region of the nation...lol. Is Oklahoma flooded with Conservatives like the Texas Panhandle? Just want to know if it changes at all across state lines...

The fact that she cannot run since she isn't a naturally-born citizen is a shame, but they'll let complete morons in office *cough*Bush*cough*, I don't get that at all.
Since the beginning John Kerry has made her a open part of his effort to win the White House. I would do the same if I had such a person to share my life with. She is stevienicks-ish to say the least. :)

Texas used to be a Dem stronghold. Lyndon Johnson was from Texas and Ann Richards was a great governor.

I have been a huge fan of Obama for months now. And after his speech tonight, I think that he can certainly be the first African-American President of the United States.

Oklahoma is about 60-67% Conservative...Conservative Democrat!
It's funny how a Democratic president hasnt carried Oklahoma (A diehard Democratic state) since 1960, Which is the last year a Democratic candidate (JFK) appeared here to rally votes for an election. (Moral of the story-"Don't campaign in OK, You have no chance of winning".)
Kerry's chances of winning OK are nearly non-existent, Kerry finished a very distant 3rd in the Oklahoma primary (Behind the winner Clark & the runner-up Edwards), He is not popular whatsoever among the Oklahoma Democrats!!

Two GREAT Democrats at that! That's why I love being a Texan, because when you get us liberal few -- you get the best.
Yeah, I don't know what happened to make everyone here Cons...

I've only lived in two parts of TX - Austin & Houston - but I can tell you they're not what I would call Republican strongholds. I know very few conservatives in either place personally, and I'm not even sure the last time Houston had a Republican mayor.

I missed the speech but it seems to be all the talk. I did catch Teresa's. The first half was much better than the second, but she was good. I was surprised that several pundits commented on the speech not being too strong & her receiving what they called a lukewarm reception from the crowd. The crowd seemed pretty excited to me.

If all the inhabitants of the pig farms could vote down there, whom do you think they would pick--Kerry or Bush?

Have you ever been to Amarillo...lol. It's pretty bad up here, well, at least on the side of town I live on. 94% Republican is a good estimate.

Please...they'd vote for Nader.

I know! How could anyone say that? I hate the way people are already trying to put her down -- she's an extaordinary person and not even the person running, but they want to bash the hell out of her anyway. All because John Kerry makes Teresa part of his career doesn't mean she's the politician! The Right just wants the wife to be out of the spotlight like Laura Bush. They upset me so much...

They're not exactly shopping at the supermarket with Houstonions where he can admire the scanners up close. The most we see the is at astros games where they're treated like one of the silly old couples that kisses on the big screen in the park. I think there's always pride when a Texan gets "big" but that doesn't make all people around here like the person very much.

Tell me about it. I've seen it "in stereo" - on the screen and from where I sat right by them.
I look away before there's any chance that I might catch him getting past first base with her. ;)

Never been up there. But TX is like PA - the biggest cities & the rest of the state are often out of sync in a lot of ways.

True. I would have to say that's a valid statement just because usually the people outside of Amarillo have different opinions.

y'all think of last nights speeches? I enjoyed Sen.Edwards speech, up until he mentioned "Hope Is On The Way" (Update-I meant "Help" not "Hope"...My bad), Which sounded like a lame ass "Dis-knee" movie title

Really? I didn't catch the whole spoeech, but I enjoyed the second half more than the first.
As far as convention rallying cries go, I didn't mind that one. I'm sure the Republicans will have one of their own as well. It's what all these folks do to try to rev up the crowds in front of the cameras.

That's right, the networks covered only an hour Wednesday night, & nothing Tuesday when Teresa spoke.
Without cable, I've relied on PBS, and Monday I could have broken the TV because Lehrer kept talking over the speakers.
