Eh, we all knew her retirement wouldn't last long.

NASHVILLE (Billboard) - In one of the longest goodbyes in music history, Cher is preparing yet another North American leg for her Farewell tour.
Cher will begin a run of 33 shows July 23 at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. The tour, now going on three years, initially was to end last Halloween. So far it has grossed $145 million and drawn 2.2 million fans, according to Billboard Boxscore, easily making it the top-grossing tour ever for a female artist.
"She's having fun, that's all it boils down to," said Brad Wavra, VP of touring for promoter Clear Channel Entertainment. "And based on ticket sales, people aren't ready to say goodbye yet. She, her band, crew, fans and Clear Channel are all having fun, so why stop?"
The upcoming leg takes Cher into secondary and tertiary markets. They include Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Rapid City, S.D.; Sioux City, Iowa; Green Bay, Wis.; Fargo, N.D.; Tulsa, Okla.; Hidalgo, Texas; Biloxi, Miss.; Toledo, Ohio; Springfield, Ill.; and South Haven, Miss. She'll be out until late September.
But that's not to say Cher won't play more shows after that. "We may see a few more dates down the road," Wavra said. "If she comes back for another leg we may have to call it something a little different, like 'Never Can Say Goodbye."'

Guess she needs more money to stretch her face back into yesterday.
Is this the 10 year goodbye tour?

True.
I can't stand her but my mom likes her. Maybe she can paper airplane it to her on stage?

My mom loves Moonstruck, which I think is okay but overrated. I don't think she's a fan of Cher's music any more than I am.
But for the record, I do concede that Cher has star quality and knows how to use her celebrity.

Not a big fan of Moonstruck although I have seen it a few times (thanks for making me suffer through that, mom  ). She was upset that she missed Cher on her farwell tour...i'll have to pass it on that she's not left yet. And yes, your right, she certainly does know how to utilize her fame to it's fullest potential.

Hey, trade in those Mac tickets to see her with Mom. Aren't you over the band by now anyway? ;)

I love Cher myself, although these never-ending reunion tours annoy me some...
I was at a Mac show in 2003 and saw someone wearing an "Eagles Farewell Tour III" shirt (dunno why he had that on at a mac show but o well, lol---I did wear my mac shirt to an Aerosmith show until I bought a t shirt so o well lol) ....

So much for retiring heh, I knew it would last long. Cher is great, but not that great to me to go see her in concert...I need to save up for Sara Evans, Stevie Nicks', or FM's next tour lol.

Yeah, I'm savin' up, too. I wish Stevie and/or FM toured as much as Cher does. Geez! Though I liked that "second coming of Christ" feeling I had when I was actually staring at the Mac, which wouldn't be there if they did tour all the time
