Hi all! Just a quick post for now. It'll be a few weeks before I get back on the boards properly again (moving, travelling etc).
Did you know that we here in Australia STILL haven't had LIB released (the stores don't even know what you're talking about when you ask about it). And of course In The Meantime is well and truly In the Distance.
[pulls hair out]

Perhaps they'll release it in Japan ;)

That sucks. :( At least you got hear the CD tracks when they played the marathon, though! Did you download the other tracks from the site that's been hosting them? It's the whole show. :)
As for In the Meantime, I wouldn't rush to get it. I got it Tuesday afternoon and to say I'm underwhelmed would be an understatement. It's very mediocre. Don't be surprised if you hear some of it in an elevator some time soon. ;)

I'm sorry Joe. Hopefully, you'll find them soon.

Aack. That's disappointing. :(

Try to stay strong. I don't have LIB either, but i did see it once on PBS. I don't plan to get In the Meantime, but i feel your pain. I thought the new Blondie CD (Curse of Blondie) was out last year, and was going to record stores, and they were like "that's only been released in Japan" or something. You CAN live through it. :wavey:

Tell me about it. The music itself is just awful. Her singing is top-notch, but the lyrics are pretty rote. There's only so many times you can write the same song, especially on on one album.

Thanks for the comisserations guys; and yeah, Marissa - good thinking! Hopefully with some dodgy Japanese overdubs too.
Hey Jake! Well I'm writing this from Lux's at the moment, although I posted this thread from her friend's place last night, and I've moved out of my apartment of two years back to my parent's, although I've just been down at my sister's friend's apartment in Sydney, and then spent a week at my mum's place near Melbourne, and in a week I'm moving to Japan. Hah! I have become a Gypsy... ;)

Ah Jake I see that our sig pics aren't displaying, because I've cancelled my internet account which means that the webspace where I stored those pics has dissolved into the ether. If you want me to send you a copy of that pic so that you or someone else can host it for you, let me know (joegrealy @ gmail.com), otherwise I guess that you can finally get a new and improved one!
Sorry about that. [pulls more hair out] :distress: <--- these bald emoticons really help with the 'pulling hair out' imagery, I find!
Oh, and on the topic of this thread, I awoke here to find a message from Lux's mum saying "I hear that FM are touring Australia in 2005'. We don't know what to make of it and assume that it's misinformation, but we'll grill her for details as soon as we get the chance! (It doesn't do anything for me or Lux if it's true cause we both intend to be o/seas then anyway!)

Joe, what will you be doing in Japan?
And BTW, if Stevie doesn't win the election, I'm holding you responsible for abandoning my banner!

 The sitcom continues as usual!
Jake - I'll be teaching English, or doing something along those lines, so I might just hit you up for some tips. ;)

Never a dull moment.
Don't hit him up for tips....you want them to actually learn something, don't you? ;) :p

Whatever you need.
Now what are the chances you'll ever get to see the Mac or the solo members in Japan? Don't you know these things need to be considered when you're planning a move?

Well this is the big dilemma of course. He can pretend one of his parents died, in which case he'll get 5 days off I think it was.
I'm already planning my trip to the US on the chance that Lindsey actually comes through on his plans. This explains my failing to complete my university degree, the fact that I live with my parents and my habit of begging. Joe obviously just doesn't have the same commitment to submission when it comes to FM, or Lindsey to be precise.
Heaven forbid a family death!
Begging's cool. :wavey:
