View Full Version : NJ Floods....

I drove home the other night in a total panic. Heading down the highway, there were cars submerged in the right lane with people wading in water. I ended up with 6 inches of rain in my car on the passenger side and it's supposed to rain more this evening :distress: I'm sure a lot of you have to deal with this sort of thing often and thankfully we don't. Hope everyone in Burlington County is okay :wavey:

Glad you're OK, Marissa. Try to stay dry.
Otherwise, we'll have to send you Darklinensuit to Jersey to comfort you.

We live 2 counties down (about 20 minutes) and fortunately are far enough from the river where nothing happened. I was up at work all day and we ended up getting a lot more rain up there than back home. One town is completely under water which is pretty crazy.
You can keep Jake  ;)

See, I knew it. If you stay on that damned turnpike long enough you'll hit Houston weather.
Hope the car's okay. I had one almost die that way.

It wasn't the turnpike, wiseass. It was the highway that runs parallel to the turnpike for a few miles
Yea. It's going to be fixed up again this Sunday. I have to run out right now in heels and tarp my car with a coworker because it's about to rain. This? Is kodak moment material.

There ya go. That's what you get for leaving the turnpike your house is on. :distress:
Good luck with the tarp. Ask your friend if they make one for you.

Success! I just hope I don't come out and find the tarp in a tree because it's getting a bit windy. That seems to be my luck
Nope, not one for me but there's probably one with your name on it :wavey:

Sad they don't make one big enough to cover your mouth. :distress:

Clearly there's not one large enough to cover your mouth either.

I was obliviously driving down 295 to Collinswood in that storm, everything seemed fine from thirty feet up. I get home that night and found out they were gathering the animals two by two down there. I hope Bush comes up with the disaster relief.
