When you get to work...?
For me, I try and find a free computer (since I'm an intern I have no permanent place to sit and therefore have to float around until I find someplace to be) then I check my three e-mail accounts then I check the Ledge haha...this can take up a good portion of my morning if I pace myself..haha...
The real work doesn't get started until well after 10am...

The beginning of your workday sounds much like mine except that I have my own office and computer! No floating around for me! Oh, and to add, I must have a cup of coffee before ANY work starts...

Because of my crappy living situation at the moment - and my lack of budget - coffee has been cut out of my day :( I now drink water...a poor substitute let me tell you!
It will be much easier on me when I get to my new job and have my own space and computer....so I can get to the e-mail and ledge even quicker than I can now :D

I unlock all the outside doors, calibrate the spirometry machine & turn on my computer.

I'm the first one in, so I turn on all the lights, sit down and hop on the Ledge!

I have a pretty standard morning routine-
Turn on all the lights (always the first one here)
Boot up computer while taking my lunch and whatnot to the fridge, fill up on water (nothing wrong with drinking water instead of coffee, Deanna!! I drink three liters of water a day)
Check (in this order) CNN, Page Six (priorities!), Velvet Rope, Ledge, WW site, home e-mail
Generally this puts me through to about 9:45 or 10:00 AM. Unless I actually have to WORK first, on Mondays or Wednesdays.

I check cnnespano.com and local news at web, too.
I check my emails, and see the pending issues.
The LEdge is opened at 10am, since Entertainment category is unblocked since that time.

to look as pissed as humanly possible so those morons known as co-workers stay the hell away from me...It works everyday.

I turn on the lights and computer, check to see if there are any phone messages, write the homework on the board, visit the restroom, deal with crowded halls, go downstairs to fill my water bottle, and return to check my e-mail. At some point in all this colleagues in crisis will interrupt me. I'll mention that I hate being rushed, especially early in the morning.

1-say "good morning" to the secretary.
2-open the window and the air conditioning.
3-make myself a HUGE cup (actually it's more like a bucket) of coffee.
4-check the computer to see what the Emule downloaded while i was away.

Well, just yesterday, every computer in the office got DSL soooo we all loaded AIM Express and are laughing hysterically IMng each other while trying to book appointments. We're incredibly lame but ahh well. My computer just bit the dust a little over a week ago so now i'll finally be able to get on the internet when we're not busy and when the boss isn't around
First thing I do is tell myself "it's almost over", then start counting down the hours til 5pm...

Wow, we all have such hard jobs, don't we? I turn on lights, unlock door, put lunch away/get coffee, look at and arrange the work on my desk, open the Ledge and slowly do the work while intermittenly posting. If i didn't post, the work would take, oh, 5 min. But then i would have nothing to pretend like i'm doing while i posted... :D

Walk in, I'm always the last one there, turn on my computer, pour my cup of coffee, and cut-up with (or cut-down!) my colleagues for at least 20 minutes. We each have our own cube (there's 4 of us in our group) but it's a large cube with the four smaller cubes in it. I don't do internet at work too much because I stay pretty damn busy.
