I was too stunned to say anything to Lindsey when I was front row for the Texas shows in June. LOL In Dallas, I didn't say anything but shoved my OOTC up to him for him to sign. I think I yelled "Thank you, Lindsey!", but can't remember exactly. Then, in Houston, I gave him the book I made for him and went "That is for you!", he gave me a sweet look/smile and said, "Thank you." and I went "You're welcome!"
If I had like 60 seconds, I'd try to say something like "Your music changed my life and I thank you for it. Please, never stop writing songs and inspiring people."

10 seconds? "Thanks for playing I Know I'm Not Wrong, Lindsey."
(now get crackin' on that solo album)

If I would have had ten seconds to say anything to him at the concert I was at, I would have told him his fly was down - because it was. I probably wouldn't have wasted the remaining 5 seconds on words, but rather given him a big hug (after he zipped up his fly, of course).

What would you say if you only had 10 seconds?
I'd simply say, "Thank you for sharing your music."
I think that says it all. :)
"please stop using your painter/canvas/etc rap."

If I had 10 seconds to speak to Lindsey, I'd probably tell him how much I loved [the album] Say You Will because I think they need some reinforcement to get cracking on that new album ;) We'll be waiting anxiously.

If I have any extra time, I'll throw in a crack about the table lamp on his counter.

I'd give him an order:
Get Mick and John in your homestudio, rehearse for two days, and record all your rough songideas at once. Overdub a vocal or two and an extra guitarline and ship it towards us. ( I'll be talking firm....and fast.)

I'm sure he'd be touched by that, but you might freak him out if you took 60 seconds to say those 20 words.:p

I've actually thought about this a few times. The least lame thing I've come up with is "Thank you for your music."

When I met Lindsey in Chicago after a show, I didn't have much more than 10 seconds and the only thing that would come out of my mouth was- "Lindsey can I have a hug?" I knew that if I didn't ask I probably would never have the chance again. Hugging him was a dream come true!!!!!!!!

I actually had the opportunity to meet him after the AHI benefit last July and when it was my "time", I shook his hand and said something like "thank you for your music. It means a lot to me". He took my hand in his, looked at me with those gorgeous gray/blue eyes and said "oh thank you SO much for that" and he smiled. Swoon.......

I did get 10 seconds last night in Denver (my review is on the Rumours board!) and I said "Thank you" - probably a few times. He said it back. I think that says it all :-)
