You've chosen an entree. Now how do you want your potatoes?
- fries
- hash browns
- baked (with sour cream or butter, or plain)
- stuffed skins (filled with ____)
- mashed
- as chips (flavor?)
- another way?

If you give me potatoes, i'll eat them. Mashed, fried, hashed, etc. My favorite has to be garlic mashed potatoes. Yumm!

When I was a kid, my mom used to peel the potatoes before frying them up cut me a tiny piece and put some salt on it. I ate it. Looking back in retrospect, raw potatoes aren't too good. Of course, this is the woman who let's my dog eat lemons sooo you know

Yeah, I've had that before. I remember it being pretty oily.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Did you also do shots of vanilla extract and eat handfuls of baker's chocolate? :)
But I do feel bad for the dog.

In my house it was enough that my mom was a lousy cook. She didn't need to try to torture us (that I know of --- Come to think of it, that would explain a lot. )

I really don't like chocolate all. I have to reallly be in the mood for it to eat a piece of chocolate. And yes, when you tell a child it's vanilla, they're going to taste it. And spit it out. And never try it again.

I can also remember, this will sick you out, raw hambuger with salt...ewww...not a big ole handful, just a taste. Of course it was cut much leaner 25 years ago. But still, how gross was that.....lol....

I usually go for baked, with butter (well, diet margarine now that I'm on a diet), S&P. And I eat the skins, with more butter and S&P. Yummy!

My mom also did homefries (fried with onions) when I was a kid, and every now and then I'll make them. They are really greasy, though.

Garlic mashed potatoes would be my next choice, and then french fries.

OT, but did you see that McDonald's is offering apple slices and caramel dip instead of fries for Happy Meals? What kid is gonna choose apple over french fries??? Not mine, that's for sure!

Well it completely depends on what the entree is! I love potatoes, but certain kinds go with certain entrees. With steak it would be a baked potato with butter and sour cream (and yes I eat the skin, too), hamburgers mean fries, anything with gravy requires mashed potatoes and a sandwich must have chips on the side. Oh yeah, eggs and hash browns. Yum.

Give me McDonalds french fries and hash brown any day. They taste sooooooooooo good. They do however, give me the runs afterwards  :sorry: . I guess that's the price I pay for eating such things. BTW Jake, garlic mashed potatoes are awesome. They go good with honey baked ham. :wavey:

French Fry ADDICT. Anywhere I go, it's french fries. I love a baked potato every once in a while too, but french fries are it.

They're sold in a bag in the chips aisle. There are two flavors; I get the plain one (forget the other).
The bag says "A bountiful blend of potato, spinach, and tomato chips".

I definitely agree with steak and baked, but I try to save the skins for my dog. She LOVES them! I don't know why, but I'm suddenly hungry.

No way! My dogs LOVE potato skins! I eat most of it usually, but I always save them a bite or two. How funny that another dog out there loves skins!

Why would you willingly ingest anything from McDonalds? That stuff will kill, it's pure ****. When I was a kid, I used to ask for McDonalds and my grandma would say "humans don't eat ****." She also told me never to do crack because you should never do a drug named after a part of your ass. I suspect she stole that from Denis Leary, too.
