I'M SO PISSED!!!
i just came back home from a friend's wedding, and as i enter the house i see straight away that the TV's GONE!!! i've been robbed!!! GODDAMNIT!!!
they broke in from the window, and all they took was the tv (they left the dvd), some cash money (not much actually), and that's all! stupid jerks! i've a brand new pc they didn't touch, where's their respect?!? it's all still shiny! and there was LOTS of weed on the coffee table, which they didn't touch either! maybe they knew i'd need to chill once i see this. i now put it outside the house, while i sit here totally drunk in the middle of the night, waiting for the cops to arrive. grrrrrr.......

Oh, I'm so sorry! By the way, i'm really enjoying my new T.V. So you're waiting for the cops drunk? Did you stash your stash? It sucks that you're drunk and have a stash but nothing to watch. It's great they didn't get that other stuff, though. Good luck...waaaaa geht hiiieiieieieghhhh? :xoxo:

i swear to god i was THIS close to buying a new one just last week, luckey me! good thing i didn't! the pigs were here and are gone already, so i took the stash back inside (and yeah, i'm working on it right now) and of course i was pretty wasted, i had quite a few jagermeisters earlier tonight. still, i was sober enough to "enlarge" the tv in my statement by a few inches for the sake of insurance. goddamnit, i hope i have one.

Yeah, I keep trying to get mine to clean up a little around the house, maybe get a job - still they lay there...Although my one cat is a patrol cat. Sooo, since you were gonna buy a new T.V. anyway, feel free to send one my way - the one i have now has KNOBS that you TURN and they make a clicking sound, well more of a clacking... :D Seriously, though, i'm glad you're alright.

WTF?! That's INSANE. Had you been there, I think they probably would have gotten a kick to the head. Glad you're alright though. Hope they find the moron who took everything...sheesh...

neh... those weren't professionals, no way, they'd be skipping me if there was someone in the house, they came through a window which wasn't even locked, and stole 200$ worth of goods, leaving better stuff behind.
pathetic amatures.

Oh man, Tommer, I'm so sorry to hear this!

I wonder if something spooked them, and that's why they ran off without stealing anything else.

I hope everything turns out all right, and insurance completely covers your losses.

By the way... never trust a cat. I wouldn't put it past those creatures to show the robbers where you keep the expensive items. Spiteful little furballs, they are! ;)

Sorry that happened and glad no one was hurt, including Security Cat;).

Hey Tommer...from what you've described, odds are its someone you know. When you don't get robbed blind, usually its someone who has been in your home and knows where your stuff is.

Also...I might be incorrect, but you getting robbed doesnt surprise me considering the part of the world you live in. Isn't it really crazy on that side of the world? I may be totally under a cloud of misconception about that.

I don't think this warrants a separate posts, but tonight's big news story (along with the weather  ) is that the tax office is robbed, so people who sent checks in need to call to see if their payments are still there.
Reminds me of when I worked at the U. of Chicago and a mailman who had just emptied a mailbox was robbed, so who knows how many grad school applications, checks, and financial aid forms went missing.
WTF is with people?

thank you everyone, i've woken up to a nightmarish hangover, but still i'm pretty much amused by this whole thing. i'm insured (thanks dad!) so i ordered a nice new 34" which will be here on monday. and besides, i honestly feel that if someone is in such a state in which a lame tv and that very little money could be of any real help, then by all means he should have them. other than the pc's hard disk and my music collection everything's replaceable.

you ARE under the cloud.
first of all if it was someone i know, he'd know i just got a pc and that's the profitable thing to take, and besides, almost every person who enters my home was with me while it happened. and about the 2nd thing, you won't believe just how low the crime rate is here. violent crimes are even more rare, it's not like it triggered me to lock my door when i went to sleep last night after it happened.

I don't really know you Tommer, but I've been robbed myself and know how unsettling it is. Cats are bliss, but you need a serious dog. I hope they catch the rat that did this to you. I'm truly sorry.

Yeah karma man... You need a new TV and this presents itself! Life huh? It's odd they just took the tv though.... Maybe they wanted a tv dinner and instead of going out to get the dinner they went out for a TV instead...

Hope the window is ok too.
