What's out there for Lindsey boot videos/DVDs/VCDs?

I'm curious because I don't have any (with the exception of a crappy copy of Centerstage).

Thanks! :xoxo:

All I have is the crappy copy of Soundstage.

If anyone has a non-crappy version burnt on DVD and wouldn't mind sharing, I would be most appreciative.

Why don't we just start a project that will lead to finding the master or a first generation copy of it? :)

A collection of his videos mayhaps? We all could make a VCD out of those great quality .mpegs that Nancy has been posting for a long time.

Ok, let's just wait for Soundstage, shall we? (*twitches nervously*)

Let's see, I have a lot of stuff.

I have Lindsey on MTV 1984 where he is being interviewed like 3 or 4 different times and they put it all together to show how common his interviews ARE.

I have his movie premieres. PeeWee Big Top movie and Purple Rain premiere.

I have stuff from 1987, interviews with him alone before Tango came out and stuff with the band from Entertainment Tonight and MTV.

Then Centerstage, Vh1to1, some OOTC concerts.

I also have him on Regis for OOTC, him on that PBS show in 1984 ( I can't think of the show), him on David Letterman, Jay Leno and Letterman again. I have him on Today before the Inaugeration.

I have all his videos and then the Dance interviews and his BTM.

I hae a bunch of stuff most if it is poor quality!

I've met my new best friend. :xoxo:

Would she be interested in doing a little trading sometime? I can't copy videos right now, but I have lots of audio boots!

Oh, and I think the PBS show you're referring to is The Charlie Rose Show. :)

Jimmy,

I just checked your trade list and this show is not there. Will you be adding it soon and make it available for trade?

It was 3 Am. Yes, Charlie Rose which is horrible quality. I forgot I taped myself Lindsey on SNL-nice quality.

Oh and some interview around the Brits or Grammies in 1998 where Lindsey says his albums coming out soon LOL! Right!

I have tons of Lindsey stuff but again, I can't copy but I'm looking into somehow getting my tapes copied and somehow setting something up so people can all share. I really only need new stuff, nothing old. Plus I want to start getting stuff on DVD.

I have some good audios too, my favorites being rare and alive 1 and 2 and the GOS demos and some concerts, of course on cassette!

Just a neophyte question: is the filming date of Centerstage 4/2/1993?

Note also that Tracy G has (on her trade page) an outdoor video of Lindsey supporting Tina Turner (cripes) in Toronto from July 1993. The setlist has only nine songs. Is that all he had the time to do when he was a supporting act?

 It's six years later and no album, Linds.

Thanks for the info anyway, Janet, it's appreciated. I'm happy to hear that stuff is out there! :wavey:

of stuff on cd only, Trying to find high quality video of Linds' seems a bit harder than I assumed it would (Everything video-wise seems to be either 2nd or 3rd generation) but I do know of a large video collector, Whom I trade with on a regular basis who may have some 1st generation videos of Linds'.

Btw, I am purchasing a DVD recorder soon (Decided against the self-contained unit since the high end Sony model is $999.00, So I am probably going to go for the mid-road Panasonic model for $449.00) so I will be trading in the DVD realm as I do in the CD-R realm.

Wow, those suckers are expensive. Ever heard of Circuit City?

I was there yesterday and to my shock and surprise (I almost keeled over), they had a digital projector on one of their tables of opened-but-works-fine merchandise. It was $20. Those things go for $1,000-$2,000. I was absolutely shocked.

In any case, I hope OOTC video stuff surfaces soon. Until then, I'll just have to hit ya up for the audios.

I am set now, I just ordered my DVD burner (So it looks like I will be trading alot of DVD's besides CD-R's, I opted for a burner that burn DVD-RW so I can edit the discs before I finalize the burning of it).

Now to email my trader friend North of the border who has tons of videos to see what is available to trade.

After searching ebay regularly for three years, I was able to land an original copy of the Centerstage performance for $150 about three years ago. I also was able to obtain an original recording of the VH1 special (has five songs from the same concert but has one additional song (Tusk, I believe) not on the PBS special. I also was able to get a sampler of the the Centerstage shows from that year that has an uncut version of "Don't Look Down" (has the complete instrumental introduction). It is my hope to one day transfer these to DVD (I am having difficulty getting good quality sound on the DVD). Not looking to sell or to be harasssed into producing these, just posting to let you know there is hope that one day a good quality DVD of this concert may surface.

A friend of mine taped me a copy of that show from Toronto for me and the crowd was not always very nice to Lindsey as you could hear the comments at times from the very Tina Turner fans audience. :distress:
Lindsey's performance was awesome! :)
