Avatar/Banner help!

Ok I would like to make a moving avatar from some of my concert photos. How do I do that?

I also would like to make a banner from some of them only I really don't know how to.

Anyone want to help the clueless?

I'd miss the one you have now of Lindsey giving head to the microphone, though!!

I'm no help- I just know you need a program to make gifs.

To make a 'moving picture' - an animation, you're going to need an animation program, like Jasc Animation Shop or Adobe ImageReady (which should come with Photoshop). I use the latter, but for beginners I'd recommend the former, since ImageReady took me forever to figure out.

To make a banner, you'd need a regular image program, like Jasc Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. I'd recommend starting out with Paint Shop Pro, because last time I used it, it was a lot easier to use then Photoshop. But I've since grown accustomed to PS and it's all I use!

You can download trial versions of Jasc's software from their website - http://www.jasc.com (link to the downloads page: http://www.jasc.com/products/? ).
