OK, lets focus strictly on the performance of all the songs here. The Boston show was probabl;y when the band was really trying their hardest. Now their were ALOT of shows for this tour. And of course there are still like 15 left. I'm sure there were shows out there better then the DVD. So this thread is for anyone who thinks their show was even better then the Boston performance we now have on DVD. And please don't just say you think your show was better out of you had front row and played Lindsey guitar at your show and Lindsey signed something for you and it was the best night of your life because of it. Only say if you saw a Better performance overall. And I also realize we are talking about Fleetwood Mac here and generally it's as stevie says in Rhiannon "all the same." But I'm sure their are many sutle differences that set the shows apart. And also maybe the whole show wasn't better but maybe an individual song was better at a show you saw, or even better if you have a bootleg of a song that you know is better then the Boston songs.

OK I saw 2 shows (Buffalo and Toronto) and I'd say Toronto and Boston were VERY similar, which makes sense considering Toronto was 3 and 4 days earlier. I'd say Stevie took Gold Dust Woman into another region for the Boston show. the scream was just as good in Boston but Stevie was just so animated for the Boston show. And I also never liked Stand Back as much live as I do now on the DVD.

You know the only song that I know for sure was better on other nights was Silver Springs. It's by no means bad in Boston but I find it weird she didn't do the best job she could on Silver Springs. I have a SS from England I believe 11/29/03 it's the show neil posted a few months ago. And she just BELTS the ending like crazy. She belts the Boston version but she BELTS this England version.

OKC 2003-A better performance than the DVD because the band's energy was up...Band sounded great & the audience reaction was wild to say the least (IMHO OKC had one of the greatest Silver Springs I have heard when compared with all the bootlegs/concerts I have listened to on the SYW tour...But the bad thing is that the OKC bootleg was recorded with too high a volume which destroyed a great performance, The volume squelches to much throughout the recording...)

Dallas 2003-About equal to the DVD set, Band sounded great while the audience was less energetic.

Dallas 2004-Would've been a great show for a radio broadcast of the 2004 SYW tour setlist, The energy of the band was up at its highest and the audience was right there with 'em.

I personally this leg of the tour is the best so far...in terms of energy/songs/sound everything...Stevie is adding so much to her wardrobe now, and really playing her songs up...Lindsey is even more of a maniac now than he was then..I love the Boston DVD...But I personally think, even though the set was the same, the Knoxville show a week before the Boston taping was EVEN better..Stevie was great....she REALLY got down in some of the songs, like Beautiful Child..me and my mom looked at eachother and said "how is she holding that note that long??"
She broke her flower off of her mic stand and handed it to a little girl in the front row, and seemed much more into it...

Now I have to say that Silver Springs from the Atlanta show on May 15 2004 was the best silver springs ive seen on this tour (out of 6), and sadly it was the last time they played it...so performance wise I will say the Atlanta May 15 show was better than the Boston show...as was the Knoxville Sept 12 2003 and Atlanta Sept 7 2003 shows

I was 4th row at the 9/7/03 Atlanta show and front row at the 5/23/04 Jacksonville show. I enjoyed the Jax show much more because I was up-close-n-personal. However the "energy" was a little higher at the Atlanta show. I think Stevie was JUST beginning to get ill by the time of the Jackonsville show.

Although, I prefer the setlist to this current leg with "Sara" "red rover" and "I Know I'm Not Wrong". it may be a "slower" pace as some have said, but I love those songs.

I would say the energy of the Live in Boston DVD isnt that "high." The crowd rarely seems to be really into it.

Well, considering I STILL only have the 1-hour PBS show to base my knowledge on....

I will say that the May 2004 shows I saw in Champaign and Nashville were much better than the May 2003 show in Nashville. Much, much, more energy.

5/8/2004 in Madison, Wisconsin was a great show. Everyone, except Lindsey, seemed very rested and into the show. Poor Lindsey just looked tired. He still performed well though.
The Chicago United Center Show in September of last year was another great show. They had hit their stride at this point and were running like a well oiled machine. Stevie's ending of Silver Springs from that show blew me away. I was standing right in front of her monitor and could hear how high she was actually singing at the end of the song.
By the show in Denver a month later, they were starting to seem tired, although it was probably just the altitude. One "reviewer" for the Denver Post ripped Stevie's performance.
San Diego July 2003 was another good show. They seemed to be happy to be in CA. There were electrical problems, but it was the building, not the band.
Columbus Ohio, 2003, the first show of the tour was also very good but I must admit, I was so excited just to see them that I can't remember all that much about it.

I think the Live in Boston captures a lot of the great moments from my shows.

I went to one early on where it was a little phoned in and definitely at the bottom of my list. Some other shows were ruined by morons, and some were so over the top fantastic that I can't ever forget them.

As gldstwmn said, they hit their stride last year and towards the end they did seem tired. Some of the early shows this year were better than any I had seen last year.

It's been one great ride and Live In Boston is a big fat bonus to a GREAT Fleetwood Mac year :woohoo:

I've seen 5 shows (LA Rehearsal 4/26/03, Buffalo 5/15/03, Atlantic City 5/17/03, Toronto 9/23/03 & Hershey 6/12/04.)

I think Toronto was a bit better than the DVD as far as performance & especially band energy goes. Hershey was also a very good, energetic show, so it's close.

The Boston DVD is better than the other shows I attended, IMO. I think that can be attributed to the fact that my other shows were very early in the tour & they were still new to playing as a foursome & doing all the new material.

I would have to say that I loved these 3 shows out of the 5 shows I saw: Worcester May 2003 (the second night)
Bridgeport Sept 2003 and Hartford 2004.

I would love to have seen these in official release form maybe due to the sentimentality of my being there, the great performances, and so on!!!!
