View Full Version : Best Concerts of the Year
besides Fleetwood Mac, of course.
I saw Van Halen last night for the first time ever. They were GREAT! All sounded & looked good. All had solos. Eddie's was last. Can he play the guitar or what? The energy & enthusiasm that was in that concert was AWESOME! As one of the DJs on my local radio station put it, it wasn't a concert, it was an event. A must see!
Everyone else been to a good show this year?

Shania Twain, heh and she better be as good Tuesday, as she was in December. She was the only other person besides FM that I saw. Whoohoo for Shania!

How sad, I haven't seen one concert this year, not even FM since my show has been postponed and no word yet on show date :(

I'm still considering going to Simon & Garfunkel, but I'm not sure I can justify the expense for a non-Mac concert. My parents went and said it was great.

I'm going to see Sheryl Crow in 2 days! Apart from a theatre trip to see Lorna Luft in August that's about it for me this year!

Jake, if you are at all a Simon & Garfunkel fan (and I know you are), it's definitely worth going to see them! I'm on a limited budget, but even I sprang for those tickets. I got nosebleed, the cheapest seats in the house, and I was not disappointed--they were great (Simon and Garfunkel, not the seats)--gotta love those harmonies!

Omigod you saw blondie? When? Where?
Sorry, I've got to bring this thread up again b/c I went to another great concert. They're calling it the Rock & Soul Revue. Starts out with the Average White Band (AWB), Michael McDonald (from the Doobie Brothers) & then Daryl Hall & John Oates. I saw them in Virginia Beach while on vacation on July 3rd. It was an excellent show. And there were fireworks afterwood. :blob1:

Blondie for one. Debbies face lift looks great. Not only do they always put on a great show, but they always pull out old shiit they havent done live since before Jesus was born. This year they are doing Im Always Touched By Your Presence dear, 1st time live since the 70s. Plus lots of other old bsides.
Pat Benatar and Ann Wilson my other bitchas can still sing anyones pants off. However.........
MADONNA was the ****. I saw the 2nd show of the tour in LA. I had no idea what the setlist was before I got there. The whole show was one suprise right after another. I about shiit in my pants and FELL OVER DEAD when she sang Burning Up on gutiar. Then there was Material Girl on gutiar, a techno rock version. Oh lord it just never let me down, Hanky Panky another one of my all time faves. Then for the 1st encore Madonna teared me up real bad, almost cried when she deicated the next song to all of her fans and sang Crazy For You. That was the 1st time she had sang that song since 1985!!!!!

Besides Fleetwood Mac, I would definitely say Prince and Simon and Garfunkel. I'm going to see Madonna in Atlanta on the 24th. I'll make my opinion of that concert afterward.

I'm almost 18 lol, 8 months til I turn 18, and yeah he does hate Debbie (he's kinda racist), so basically anyone taht isn't Mexican, he doesnt like. And he says that Stevie can't perform well anymore cause she's fat. He doesnt like Lindsey after the concert too that's for sure lol, but that's another story.

okay, this is everything i'd wanna go to, plus my MAC ones, and if I could add one, No Doubt, and if I had to replace one to add No Doubt, it'd have to be john waters, but prefer not...anyway, that's basically my perfect list, too. :wavey:

I guess you can't fool him into thinking the French lyrics in Rapture are Spanish. ;)
