For the record, I still can't bring myself to include SS on my list. It's an amazing song, but it's just not on the original release.

Amazing: The Chain, Gold Dust Woman, Second Hand News
Great: Dreams, I Don't want To Know, NGBA
Good: GYOW
Grown On Me: Oh Daddy, Songbird, You Make Loving Fun, Don't Stop

Sorry, I adore Chris, but to me her better work is on Tusk and the earlier albums. I know I stand alone on this.

Outstanding: Gold Dust Woman, The Chain, Songbird, GYOW

Very Good: NGBA, Second Hand News, Dreams, Oh Daddy

Good: Don't Stop, YMLF, IDWTK

There are no real clunkers on here IMO. The Rumours bonus disc versions bump Oh Daddy up to Outstanding and YMLF somewhere between very good and good.

I'm So Sick Of Hearing- Dreams, Go Your Own Way

That is a different categorie. You're right that some of the songs are played to death on radio. I agree with you but the point I tried to keep in mind is: is the song good or bad or not? In other words: it`s not the songs fault that it has been played too much  F.e. Go your own way. I wouldn`t ever listen to that one again without being forced to but it is nevertheless a great great song imo. I mentioned several times that I don`t like Rumours that much, it has a bunch of great tunes and a lot of fillers or crappy ones. Holds no contest in comparison to TUSK. Here`s my impression:

1) Extraordinary good: Never going back again, Go your own way, Don't stop

2) Borders on being boring as studio album versions: The chain, Gold dust woman, Silver springs, Dreams, Second hand news (with the exception of Dreams they all win a lot live on stage)

3) plain boring: Songbird, I don`t want to know

4) Simply bad: Oh Daddy, You make loving fun

Don't Stop sounds like entertainment at a kid's fifth birthday party, at least on the album. JMO.
YNLF I never cared for until I heard the version on VBOFM. For some reason the subtle differences work better for me, and I can make out the words much better.

I really dislike the studio version. It just leaves me cold. I think it has to do with the fact that I don't think all the emotion of that song can be displayed within the confines of a studio. It needs to be live, IMO. And I am really not a fan of the vocals on the studio version, either. :(

A lot of people dislike the studio version since The Dance album, but I like it.

ell Dissentions post showed up first s technically they're his thoughts you're stealing. And well I'm just the opposite, I Love the studio version the best. especially the vocals. I think the emotion coms across just fine. And I know I'm so in the minority but when It comes to SS live I prefer the current version to The Dance. I know shoot me, bu I think she just screams those Stil I am a fool and Give me just a chance better this tour. I know she doesn't do the Never Get Away Never Get Away Never Get Away but it doesn't bug me.

Again, as with the white album, I'm PAINFULLY burnt out on Rumours, so this is kind tough:

Cream of the Crop: Go Your Own Way, You Make Loving Fun, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman, Songbird (and, Silver Springs)
Floating just under: Second Hand News, Never Going Back Again
So-so: Dreams, Don't Stop, Oh Daddy, I Don't Want To Know

I like it a lot, too, because at the end the harmonies are awesome - I always like when stevie is singing harmony with herself. And then the harmony at the very end, where she's all "oh oh oh oh ah ah ah ah ahah ha ha ha ha" and "you won't forget me" is under it. But perhaps I shouldn't say that, cause everyone knows Green Partyers can't mix with Repubs at all.... ;)

Awesome!
-Never Going Back Again
-Go Your Own Way
-The Chain
-You Make Loving Fun...I got a new appreciation for this song
-I Don't Want To Know...AWESOME harmonies!!!!!

Okay
-Second Hand News...I've heard it too much. If I'm in the right mood it's fun.
-Dreams...It's a nice song, but terribly overplayed. If you sit and listen and appreciate it, forgetting how much you've heard it then it's great.
-Don't Stop...I actually want to do it with my band, but just listening to it can get a little boring.
-Songbird...So much better on the Bonus disc of the reissue with the guitar in there.

Please Kill Me!
-Oh Daddy...So much better on the Bonus disc of the reissue with the guitar and harmony vocal on there.
-Gold Dust Woman...I love the demo with the snippet of "If You Ever Did Believe"...The Rumours version doesn't do a lot for me

"Big Love"-Gold Dust Woman, The Chain, Go Your Own Way (Is there a better song to play when you break up with someone?), I Don't Want To Know, Oh Daddy (One of Christine's best)

"Don't Stop"-Second Hand News (Oh Stevie, how I would love to lay you down in the tall grass and do my stuff :p ), Dreams, Songbird (though depends on mood-It does work much better to end an album side as opposed to being in the middle of a CD), You Make Loving Fun, Silver Springs

"That's Alright"--Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop (Victim of overplay)

"Go Your Own Way"--To the fool who left SS off the album the first time

The bottom line: Priceless
