is a great release, I received my copy today and have been playing the "holy s--t" outta it.

Definitely a Guns 'N Roses vibe to this release, As Slash literally plays some of his best leads I have ever heard, This is coming from a G'N'R fan who was listening to 'em before AFD was released (My oldest brother has a vinyl version of "Live-Like A Suicide"...Which predated AFD.)

IMHO "Contraband" is better than most of the newer stuff I have heard as of late. Now only if Axl & Co. release Chinese Democracy in my lifetime...

I really didn't like it. Slash does have some great work on it, but I was underwhelmed. Maybe I'll warm up to it. I haven't really sat down with it yet.

to "Contraband" rather quickly, I was just hoping it wouldnt be yet another release like Slash's "Snakepit" albums were (I didn't like any of the "Snakepit" releases...).

There are a few minor kinks on the disc, But overall I am rather pleased.

Yeah man,

I gotta say Slash definitely has got his chops back with this one....

I think it's his best work since Appetite. :blob2: :blob1: :blob2:

ya werent kiddin' that this album is kickass...I like the track "Superhuman", Definitely a heavy ass track!

I agree, Good' ol Saul Hudson really has the chops back now!!! :blob2: :blob1: :blob2:

Scott Weiland's voice sounds much different than it did during his time with the Stone Temple Pilots...
