Anybody catch the first episode of the new season? The last scene where Nate was burying Lisa's body out in the boonies had me in tears. Looks like it's going to be a very interesting season...

Any thoughts?

What had me in tears was Russell & Claire talking about her abortion. His reaction was so not TV-like, and when she said she was lonely- sheesh.

It was great.

Agreed. I was REALLY surprised he freaked out like he did. Poor Claire, she IS lonely! I hope things work out for them.

I couldn't sit through that episode again. Damn. It was brutal. They get the death thing right. They aren't afraid of showing how primal and awful it is to lose someone. Sometimes, you drop on the floor and scream and howl. I've seen it. I've done it. No other show depicts the horror of loss so completely.

So glad it is back though ! I was jonesing for it. Poor Nate. I am hoping the show gets away from the "so serious" thing. It is getting a little heavy for me. The humor seems to have diminished. I watched five episodes from first season last week and laughed my butt off. Especially at Ruth's lines. I love Ruth. "By the way, I won't be answering the phones anymore." It is a great show. My favorite over the last few years.

But, I am so glad Lisa is gone. HATED that character. Such a passive aggressive creep. Blech.

Looking forward to the rest of the episodes. Sopranos let me down a little, so I am happy that SFU is back. :blob1:
