It's listed in the Circuit City ads as $19.99, also.

I wonder when I'm going to get mine from Amazon...

the one at BestBuy is the regular version that is just the Boston show on 2 DVD's and 1 cd of various live tracks...The version at fm.com is the only one I know of with the Destiny Rules DVD.

Btw, The version at CircuitCity for $19.99 is listed as the DigiPak version (According to their website).

It's really dumb. It just means that instead of being in a regular DVD case it is in a CD case packaging. Personally. I would much prefer DVD packaging so that it didn't look out of place in my DVD collection.

Is anyone else going to be really pissed if we don't get the Live In Boston/Destiny Rules Doc. by Tuesday? I only paid 35 dollars more then they are advertising on Best Buy just so I could get the Destiny Rules DVD (which I recorded anyway!). Please don't make me wait longer then I have to!

I won't be pissed off that it doesn't come by Tuesday - I just want the damn thing to come!! I HAVEN'T BEEN CHARGED YET ON MY C/C!!!!!!! Plus I think I'm going to buy both versions anyway. I'll give the boston show I don't want to my brother.. he'll be happy. I want to see what both look like frankly.

I hope you guys get your deliveries soon. Can someone let us know if the Destiny Rules DVD is the same as the 1&1/2 hour version that originally aired on VH1 commercial free? I was initially thinking that I'd spring for the set, but I taped the DR doc when it aired & can't see spending $30 or more just to get it on DVD.

The other day, I was in Best Buy and I was on the computers you can use to like loof for a certain movie or product and see if they had it in stock. I searched for the Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston and I listened to the whole cd there. It was great, the computer had a subwoofer in the sound system so the beat was very noticeable and loud. Peoplw started coming over to me and saying is that Fleetwood Mac? and I said yes. They said wow, is this the dance cd and I said no its something new coming out Tuesday. they said wow ill have to check that out. I just thought that was a neat story to tell!

I was looking on Amazon to see when it said I'd get mine (between the 22 & 24th. Psh), and it had some crazy "Update your credit card information!1!" thing. So I tell my mom, since she ordered it, etc, and she said we're getting it from Best Buy on Friday instead. I can't wait that long!

That is so cool! BTW, I got my DVD/CD set today and if you ask me the Live In Boston CD is much more rockin' then the Dance. The Dance seems more laid back and these songs seem a lot edgier and not as polished, very rock and roll!

They saythat Destiny rules dvd is 79 minutes long , to me that means it s the same 79 mins we got on the tv. What i am wondering is those lost video tapes that they claimed that mick took years ago and they just found them, why not release some of that footage to make the dvd more interesting, Its kind of a shame to get the same footage we already got for free on tv. also what i cant understand is, why do they bother to agree to release the concert on PBS tv, so close to the dates that i t will be available for purchase. some people will not buy the dvd because they taped it for free. I know the die hards will of course buy it, so they will have it be a commercial free concert and to get the full show. But i think it probably will hurt sales, being so close to the instore release date. JMO

Actually, the opposite is true. The Dance aired before the tour even started and was on tv on VH1 MTV and PBS continuously for months throughout the entire time they were on tour. There was a time when you couldn't turn on VH1on any given day and not find The Dance playing at some hour. It helped them sell the tour tickets and is probably one of the many reasons they ended up selling 5 million copies of The Dance and over 100,000 videos. If you just look at how many fans are online today because they saw The Dance, it's remarkable.

I think FM would have loved to have had a similar situation with SYW, but unfortunately for them, VH1 is not interested in that type of programming these days. I'm sure they jumped at the chance for this Soundstage show but it would have really helped sell more cds, dvds and concert tickets if it had come early on in the tour, and certainly would have helped sell this leg if it had aired earlier this year.

On the other hand, some people will buy the DVD and not bother watching it on PBS.

I think Mick was full of crap when he said he mysteriously "found" those tapes one day after never seeing them for decades. I've had them for years.

I'm going to buy the DVD today (if Best Buy can *find* them), because my local PBS station isn't airing the show at all. So I think there's still a market. I did decide against ordering the set with DR, because I taped that from VH1 and apparently there are no extras. If there were extras, I would have definitely purchased it even though I taped it.
