Okay folks, I'm seriously praying for a solo album and tour after this tour is over!!!! I know you are all praying with me too. :D

So...my question is, do you want him to tour with a guitar army like he did for OOTC or go it.....alone?

I prefer he go it alone, the man's got more talent in his pinky than some people do in their entire being. I love watching his Center Stage video, but I really didn't much care for those other peeps. No offense to their fans, because they were all talented, it's just that when he was onstage doing Big Love, Go Insane and Street of Dreams, I was captivated kinda like this  LOL

I've seen the guitar army, and that was amazing.

Here's what I think he should do if he were to tour solo:

Lindsey, lead guitar and vocals
Neal, second guitar
John, bass
Mick, drums

Maybe a keyboard, but I would even go without it.

Carne, I'm down with that lineup!! Of course, with Mick and John there, isn't it Fleetwood Mac? ;) Hehe.

They could call it Meetwood Flack.

I don't play an instrument, and I can't sing. I could open Lindsey's water bottles for him. I'll do whatever, just add me to the line up. That's my new dream job: go on the road with Lindsey!

I like this one.

Let's add Stevie on backup vocals for ---- Buckwood McNicks.

Now that we know Lindsey will drop his solo after this tour, I doubt he will come out with his guitar army.

I think this will be the lineup

Lindsey - Guitar
Neal - Guitar/vocals
Musician - Guitar/vocals
Musician - Bass
Musician - Drums

Let's not jump the gun on Lindsey's solo plans. Remember the information came from Mick. (And Johnny Stew, I swear to the almighty that if you rehash that old argument... I'll, I'll... )

Interesting combination stratist, we have a few guitarists and musicians here on the Ledge don't we?

Have you released an album at all or do you just do live gigs?

That sounds a little pornographic! ;)

Definitely lose the guitar army. It was excessive and distracting, IMHO.

And I can dab his sweat. Of course that would involve removing his shirt. And I could always sell the towels on Ebay. ;)

Whats so wrong with Mick? Hes an amazing drummer.

Anyway, I think he should go with the guitar army. Just him alone is a snooze. I mean come on, how many more times do we have to hear Big Love and Go Insane, BLECH! I love You do or you don't, Doing what I can, and Don't Look Down. You can't do those acoustic would sound horrible.

Lindsey could pull off any song as an acoustic. And most Lindsey fans only focus on him, anyways. ;)

I agree about big Love, I'm a bit burned out on that one, just as I am with Dreams and countless others.

Lindsey is AMAZING on stage alone...and I prefer it that way. He could do ANY SONG acoustic and it would be mindblowing.

I too am burned out on Big Love...and listening to Go Insane today REALLY made me want that back in the setlist. Sigh....oh and BTW...4 DAYS TILL DALLAS!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! LOL

I'm burned out on Big Love too and I wish he had switched over to Go Insane for this last leg, I think it would have filled the same spot.

Dreams.....I don't even know what to say about it at this point except, I can't imagine seeing Stevie solo one more time and having to sit through Dreams and Outside The Rain :(

I posted my thoughts about wishing he would have changed it to Go Insane before I saw yours

I was just looking at the tour schedule today and realized how fast the last dates are coming - one more month :distress: It sneaks up on you!

Wait until you hear Red Rover, you're going to cry and die:)

Perhaps whoever reads the Ledge will get the hint that we want Go Insane for awhile. :)

As for Red Rover....yep, I'll cry....but I hope I don't die. LOL

Yes, he is a great drummer. Putting aside my personal feelings about Mick, I would like to see Lindsey without Mick on a solo tour. Mick is synonymous with Fleetwood Mac and I like the idea of a pared down group like Lindsey used for Soundstage. Everyone who gave their reviews said it worked beautifully and I think it would really showcase Lindsey's talent to do it small time, especially after 18 months touring with the huge Fleetwood Mac machine.

It would probably be better for him financially to not have a huge army touring with him, and might make the difference between him being able to do a tour or not.

No, I really think a Lindsey show with just him on acoustic would be such a snooze. At his shows i like to see all the more faster songs like Don't Look Down, Doing what I can, Trouble, and This is the Time. THose would sound horrible acoustic. Well maybe he could pull off Don't Look Down but thats probably it.

Actually, I would've thought the same way, EXCEPT, I HAVE heard Lindsey do some of his rockers ("Holiday Road", "Eyes Of The World", "Countdown", "Don't Look Down" & a couple of others) with the Out Of The Cradle "guitar army" all-acoustically, and they were GREAT!

With how Lindsey rearranged "Big Love" & "Go Insane", how can we really tell WHAT any of his really electric sounding tunes would sound done acoustically.

For many of us, Lindsey alone on an acoustic guitar would be anything other than a snooze, and since he can make one guitar sound like 10, I hardly worry about Lindsey putting on a boring show.

As Chili pointed out, no one would have ever expected Big Love and Go Insane to be transformed into such powerful acoustic pieces that they're almost unrecognizable from the original version. Perhaps Lindsey is just not your type of performer, different strokes for different folks

As for the other songs, we've said that when he performed for the Soundstage show he was able to do GYOW, Trouble, Red Rover, SGTCYM with a small group of musicians (Neal, Brett and Taku) and from all reports they came off beautifully. Red Rover is about as fast as you can get and he performs it with a minimal amount of stage musicians on the SYW tour.

Can't be any more of a snooze than Stevie's TISL shows.

Since every one of his songs starts off with just him and a guitar, he could pull off any song of his as an acoustic. Most of us Lindsey fans would watch the man perform any song and marvel at him, so I think you're alone in believing it would be a snooze of a show.

And, besides, how could you say a song would sound horrible as an acoustic if you never hear it?

What makes you think only slow songs work as acoustic numbers? This has never been the case. All the songs you mentioned could easily be done as interesting acoustic takes.

Yeah...and after all, the main guitar solo on "Trouble" IS an acoustic guitar.
