Admit it you have a favourite member of the Mac! Who is it and why?
State your preference and be proud!

Edit: If your favourite member isn't here, say who it is and tell me off for not putting an option for "Other". :o

I've always been much more of a Stevie fan, but after this tour I'm going with the pair together.

I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan. "the whole sh-bang."

And, yes, that includes Bekka Bramlett, too.

I'd be lying if I said that it was anyone other than Stephanie Nicks and her Wild Heart.
I looove FM and found myself with a new level of admiration and respect for Linds after seeing him do the Soundsatge show-but I have always been a chiffon head. :)

Rick Vito or Billy Burnette - the forgotten members (there's only 10 options!)
I'm going to assume that this selection includes Bob Brunning, Jeremy Spencer, Bob Weston, Dave Walker, Dave Mason and Bekka Bramlett too and that you couldn't type their names in because of the lack of space.

At least, I hope that's the reason. ;)

I only had 10 spaces! I'd include them all if I could. I had to include the most obvious ones...
Yeah, I bet there's some hotheaded Dave Walker fans out there irritated because of this injustice. ;)

Stevie has always been my favorite and always will be but LIndsey does an excellent job on guitar and because of his excellent guitar playing, I love FMs music.

Rick Vito is an outstanding guitarist and in my opinion is better than Lindsey.

But Stevie I LOVE YOU!

It's astonishing that Stvie can be the most bashed member on the board and she still manages to dominate this poll. It's amazing the power she has. Anyways I went with Fleetwood Mac as a whole which is kind of cheaing if you think about it.

I went with Buckingham Nicks, but I'm a bit more of a Lindsey fan.

Now, before I had ever heard GOS, I was a total chiffonhead. I still am, honestly (with the exception of the putrid RAL and SA albums). But after I heard GOS, I was a total Lindsey fan. The release of SYW put me over the edge. The man is brilliant, no bones about it. I find it puzzling how someone can listen to songs like Save Me A Place, The Ledge, Red Rover, I Know I'm Not Wrong and not think that he's a genius. And he plays a guitar like no other. But I'm still a huge Stevie fan. ;)

I wanted to vote lindsey first, but Stevie was my first appeal and Greeny- and welch-era-mac came ahead a few months after that. And GOS proves that Buckingham solo is at his best with this rythmsection on his side. So at last I voted for Fleetwood Mac. But I have to say: My devotion really stopped when Lindsey left: I saw the Tangotour, the BTMtour and the Time-tour. But the real Mac for me I saw last year. So maybe I could have voted BN, too.

And did you vote too Trackaghost? :D

I voted for Stevie. I really should have voted for the whole Fleetwood Mac though. It's only that Stevie is the one who's music turned me on to Fleetwood Mac, and music in general really, so I had to go with her.

BTW Christy, you're right, I can just see some feuds beginning here

Dude, you like mashed potatoes. Great. I like my mashed potatoes with a generous helping of garlic and a side of chilies, thank you very much. That's the difference.

And, no, I won't change my mind. I've heard enough of the man's playing to decide whether I like it.

Wow...CarneVaca's early remarks towards AliceLover on the first page had me rolling with laughter.

Anyway, this was a tough poll...my first pick was Lindsey Buckingham. 2ndly I would've said Fleetwood Mac, the whole shebang. Then 3rdly I would've said I'm a Nicks fan. it was too close so I couldnt pick just one.

For Me-

1. Fleetwood Mac
2. Lindsey Buckingham
3. John McVie (because I have this thing for bass)
4. Stevie and Christine (tied)
5. Bob Welch
And then, everyone else falls after the top five in no particular order :).

Hi everyone :wavey:, I'm new here and this seemed like a good thread to start posting, since that's the first question that comes to mind when I tell people I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan.

I like every member that's ever been in the band (even Dave Mason and Bekka Bramlett) and my favourites change quite lot. When I first became a fan Stevie was my favourite, then I changed to Lindsey, then to Christine, and then to Stevie again. Currently my favourite is Christine (because I'm so happy about her new solo album and because I missed her a lot). But I like to put it in categories so it's easier to choose:

-my favourite voice - Christine
-my favourite songwriter - Stevie
-my favourite producer and guitar player (1975-now) - Lindsey (he's just a genious)
-my favourite pre-Buckingham Nicks members - Peter Green, Bob Welch and Danny Kirwan.

Hope to meet you all!
