LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez has married her current boyfriend, salsa singer Marc Anthony, barely five months after breaking her much-publicized engagement to actor Ben Affleck, Us Weekly reported Saturday.
The magazine said Lopez, 33, married Latin music star Anthony, 34, at her home in Los Angeles Saturday in front of about 40 guests. Us Weekly said it had pictures of a giant tent assembled on the estate and of guests coming and going among tables covered in white table cloths and flower centerpieces.
"It was a lovely low-key intimate affair for the closest friends and family, " Us reported a friend as saying.
"She didn't hardly tell anyone. Everyone was surprised," another unidentified friend told the magazine.
Representatives for Lopez and Anthony could not immediately be reached for comment.
The reported marriage comes less than a week after Anthony was granted a quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic from his wife of four years, Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe.
It would be the third marriage for Lopez, the sultry star whose previous trips down the aisle have both lasted a little over a year.
Tabloid news reports have linked Anthony and Lopez for weeks. They noted that Lopez had recently returned the giant pink diamond engagement ring she was given by Affleck during the stormy "Bennifer" affair that rose to a fever pitch last September when the couple called off their wedding at short notice, citing excessive media intrusion.
Affleck and Lopez officially broke their engagement in January and both have maintained a low profile since then. But by May, Lopez was seen wearing another diamond, reportedly given to her by Anthony.

Let's just hope they honor the "sanctity of marriage"... this time.

That's why I posted it! How do you love the quickie Dominican Republic divorce Marc Anthony dumped his (now ex) wife with? Is this what they call a rebound marriage? Ah well, enough fun at their expense. I wish them well, of course. :woohoo:

Ugh. What an idiot. Sorry - I just cannot see it any other way. She has some major insecurity issues, IMO.

Who wants what in the Official Ledgie JLo/Marc divorce pool? I call six months--in-between his known tendencies to be a womanziner and J-lo's short attention span, I can't say I exactly see this being a long-lasting union!
And on edit. . .don't you know she's hating it right now that Reagan had to die and steal all her free publicity! Yet another nail in the coffin on this union. . .

I have to admit, I did not attend the ceremony this time. I'm still waiting for thank-yous for the last two toasters I gave her. Besides, she promised me and every other groomsman that we'd be #3. ;)

Gaaah, that's fast. She didn't even start "dating" Whofleck that fast after that marriage to the dancer. I say this will last 2 months tops.

LMAO! I want in on this. I'm giving it eight months, just enough time for her to get divorced and be a June bride all over again next year.

Oh God.
I was just watching the show on Vh1 about weddings. They showed Marc Anthony's second wedding to his now ex wife. I mean they had like 3 party rooms and crap...he spent mucho bucks.
I give this before Christmas. I say she goes back to Puffy, she never married him...

WHAT?!?! She married Marc Anthony this weekend. My first question is what with this women's obsession with marriage and divorce? I don't get it? Is she a gluten for punishment? Does she like wearing a wedding dress? I give it 5 months tops!!

I just don't think she's able to be alone for more than 5 minutes without freaking out. Most celebs are insecure and needy, but she seems to be more needy & insecure than most. The thing is, if she developed the ability to be alone & to enjoy it, she'd be greatly increasing her chances for marital bliss (or at least happiness).

London bookies have it 3 to 1 she will be divorced by the end of the year. Another Liz Taylor in the making.

At least Liz has talent! Although (I'm disgusted to admit it), I really, really, REALLY liked JLo on Saturday Night Live! <with gangsta hand gestures> "White people food" Not to mention the whole "JLo/Mango" thang... and who could forget "Good Morning Bronx"?
I shouldn't be calling her JLo anymore... her publicists have commanded that she is now just "Jennifer... JLo doesn't exist anymore"
WHATEVER!!!!!

I like her movies. I really liked "Maid in Manhattan" and "The Wedding Planner" - I mean they are not heavy drama or anything like that, but she can act and is an Academy Award nominee (Selena). AND - I admire her business sense. I just think her love life is a mess from what I have seen. I do, however, wish her nothing but happiness and am not hoping this marriage will fail. I am just a little worried considering her track record

Shotgun wedding. Marc Anthony was on the Today show this morning and wouldn't even confirm to Matt Lauer that he was married. Anthony got divorced about a week ago. :distress: Cindy Adams called JLo a "pig" in her column today.

This is just a ploy for fame. Same goes for Marc.

I know a lot of folks are calling these things publicity stunts, but I believe this delusional woman truly believes she's in love and ready for marriage each time. It's scary, but who am I to judge, I suppose.
