Like this one, or do you think they are too old fashioned, or just impared to the technology that is the internet. I think it would be cool if they did!

Well..if the band members themselves don't actually visit sites (like this one), then somebody else sure does
Why? ...Don't you think, it's interesting, certain issues are now coming up, that have been disscussed here (and on other sites)and theyr'e being answered.eg...didn't we all go on ( well, some of us ladies did) about LB's sexy white shirt? Whats he wearing these days..haha..alot...Stevie and her lack of colour ( red shawl anyone?)...what about Geralds/Joes relentlous persuit of asking for "I know I'm not wrong"? Wha hey, they've got it..."Sara", "Beautiful child" "Red Rover"...yes folks, someone is listening and taking note and it's making alot of fans happy :xoxo: thanks to whoever is reading all our rants and thanks to FM for paying attention

It's gotta be the record company or their management, because it can't be them, at least not Stevie because, she is like so old school, like my mom.

A few years ago, it was DVD players. Before that, it was VHS players & boom boxes.
I wonder how she did with turntables when Rumours came out.

If they're anything like her piano lessons, we're in trouble.
I think the tour percussionist Taku hangs about, too, & occasionally even interacts.

At the concert I went to (Indianapolis last year), it was Mick's birthday and people in the audience were shouting either 56 or 61 or something, regarding how old they thought he was. Lindsey said something along the lines of "I guess they believe the computers." Thusly, I think that if they don't visit fansites, that they at least know what's going on.
If that made sense.

Their first exposure to the Internet was a profoundly negative one, thanks to that nutcase Ginny Kamano, who developed such a pathological hatred of the online fans that she used to troll Stevie's newsgroup under various pseudonyms, flaming & harassing others. Naturally, her (totally unfair & unfounded) impression of the fans who use the Net to communicate got back to Stevie's brother & friends, & from there it just spread to virtually everyone in the FM enclave. That's why it's great to see guys like Taku pop up, because he obviously is tuned in to Internet culture & understands it.
It's taken many years to begin to undo the damage Ginny created; unfortunately, we've got a Long Way To Go.

Huh. And I thought I was the only one who thought Ginny was a nutcase. She truly is in a class all her own. Let Chris (gldstwmn) tell you about how she boasted to everyone about having a 30 minute version of Sara and various other lies. I wonder if she's still getting psychiatric treatment, she was for awhile. Oh well, Stevie never did surround herself with the brightest crayons in the Crayola box.

Like I said, the last I heard, she was being treated for her nutty, psychotic tendencies. I'm not suprised about that email, I got a nasty handwritten letter from the chick (she used to handle Stevie's fan mail). A total windbag she is.

What exactly was the deal with Ginny Kamano, anyway? I wasn't paying that much attention to FM right when it happened, though I do remember hearing just a bit about the situation. GK was the one who used to answer Stevie's fanmail way back when, right?

Stevie has a laptop? Yikes, I hope she doesn't surf the internet! She might get her feelings hurt. :(
As for Lindsey - did you see him slicing tape by hand on the DR doc? I bet he views the internet as my parents do - an inexplicable magical phenomenon that allows colorful pictures and words to appear when you hit those underlined words with the clicker-thingy.
John, the internet junkie. Wonder how much he tells his fellow bandmates? I'm thnking not much, lol.
Mick is involved with the internet it seems, so it's hard to say in his case. He seems to rely heavily on other people to filter it for him so I doubt he surfs it on his own.

He's a real mooch of a drunk if I've ever seen one. He's always fully cocked and stammering aorund the parking lot after a show, yelling and moaning about utter nonsense. And he's the one who f'ed up Stevie's fan club. She was insane enough to put him in charge of it and he stole a lot of the money and never sent the merch. Ask people who went to the club offices in NY, it was cleaned out and no one worked there. Plus, he seems to think that being Stevie's brother automatically makes him King Turd of the **** hill and he tried to pick up fans at the shows. More like a wet fart of a human turd if you ask me.

You kiddin'?! That was one of her most blatant identification markers. For years.
Turning this thread into a CraaazyGinny review is certainly entertaining to many of us (including me), but I don't want the essential message to get lost in the fun -- namely, it's thanks to GK & a few others with her mindset that the members of Fleetwood Mac were so Internet-phobic for so long (& might still be, as far as I know). They truly believed that the online fans were a combination of dangerous & disturbed.
The supreme irony is that they didn't know those very qualities were in their employ!

Sighs - if you were Stevie Nicks would you stay five seconds in a site where your brother, who she clearly loves, is routinely (right or wrong) called the worst names in the world
Chris Nicks has a daughter who, if she is anything like any other kid her age, knows and uses the net. Is the need to bash him with such hateful lang. so great that it is worth the risk of the hurt that she would certainly feel if she read that. Whether the statements about Chris Nicks are true is not the issue and I make no comment on the veracity of them. The sole issue to me is does need to post in such hateful terms outweigh the potential hurt to her - a faultless little girl. I would be horrified if I read that about my dad. But, to each their own. I guess.
Note: I am not telling anyone not to post anything. I am just pointing out that IMO such lang. is not necessary to convey the point when the potential to hurt a child is there.

Idi Amin had children too. So how do you feel now? Mmm, just as I had predicted......listless. So does that mean we can't saying anything derogatory about anyone for the chance that their children might read it. Perhaps we should rule out political and social commentary in mass-communication. An over-reaction you say? You're talking to yourself again I note.

My point was, if you had bothered to read my original post you knucklehead  , was a child might be reading this. So, instead of calling CN a &)&*(^%^(*&%(&*%(% - I think the higher ground is to say whatever you have to say if less graphic lang. Once again, I specifically said I was not telling anyone not to say anything. I was just urging them when they chose their lang. to consider the fact that a faultless child might be reading.

Hey, you may be right, but I've met the guy a few times and never once left with what one could call a favorable impression. My language depicting him was a bit harsh and I readily admit it. However, I just wish that such a warning could be posted everytime someone decides to bash Lindsey's "desperate" and "scheming" wife. JMO. :)
And, this is just what I think, if Stevie doesn't want people talking badly about her brother, she shouldn't bring a person like that on every tour where he can interact with fans and rub them the wrong way.

I don't know you well enough to know that you would be joking, I have only been here for a week or so. Cut me some slack, sheesh.

I'd feel strangely validated. But that's irrelevant, as is this ....

Great photo! I thank whoever the stalker was that got candid shots of Lindsey exiting his car, lol. He was looking very hot that day.
P.S. If anyone has a bigger verison of this hot photo or any from the series, I am eager to put it in my galleries. Send it along!

Well, I learned a long time ago, be very careful about criticizing SN. Her fans are often rabid....
There's no denying that... but as I've often said, if one cares to take an honest look around, it's pretty clear that Stevie's fans aren't the only ones prone to rabidly defending their fave.
That's not a dig, it's just the truth. When you like someone, it's easy to defend and/or gloss over any "faults" they may have, and when you dislike someone, it's easy to ignore their good qualities and focus only on the negatives.
It's a crime we're all guilty of, to one degree or another. :)

Mehtinks that the parents of these children should behave properly, so as to avoid the risk of their child reading unflattering things about them. :xoxo:
ITA - but as my mother and the Mother Superior at my Catholic grade school used to say "just because other people behave rudely does not give you an excuse to" That exact reasoning BTW is what I was referring to by "higher ground" Like I said - bash away as hard as you want - if you think it is worth hurting some innocent little girls' feelings who am I to keep you down  I was just pointing out that she may read this and if you are okay with that - so be it :D :xoxo:
