As far as numbers go, does anyone know how much SYW has currently sold? Also, did it sell more then Madonna's new album? Lastly, what is SYW's rank for the 2003 albums? I mean, is it like number 75 on the best selling albums of the year, or anything like that? Thanks for any info!

I'm sure it's sold well over a million worldwide, and it went Gold in the USA last July: last I read, it had sold 800,000 copies, so hopefully it should be certified Platinum pretty soon.:)

p.s. Has anyone else noticed that TVBOFM is the only album that was released under "Warner Strategic Marketing"....?....All the others are either "Warner Bros." or "Reprise".

It's probably DOUBLED what Madonna sold. of course Madonna is Platnum and Fleetwood Mac is not. But that doesn't mean anything at all. It's sold like 830,000 here in the US.

It's sold around 850,000 copies. It picked up a little steam in the last few weeks, but on average over those weeks was selling about 1,800 copies a week. It's going to take a lot for it to go platinum.

VBOFM is under Strategic Marketing because SM is their catalog division. The re-issues were also issued under SM if I remember correctly.

The reissues were just under Warner Bros.

Then they were marketed by SM but not labeled, because all the promo stuff I got was from SM.

It gets confusing.

Yes Madonna's has already gone platinum, but like Hawkeye said it doesnt mean anything...Madonna's was released after FM's and dropped off the charts much faster...they just shipped a lot more of hers to stores, because they had higher expectations...
