The 9,543rd thing I love about Stevie is when she just lets a powerful, knock-your-socks-off, big ol' "oooh", "aaah" or "oh" rip during a song. What are some of your favorites? Edge Of Seventeen is an obvious and incredible one (and she never does it the same!). Two others that kill me are: in the background of the final "So I'm going away for a little while..." part in Blue Denim, and the middle of Love Is Like A River.

I love the "ooohs" she sings throughout John Stewart's "Midnight Wind," and at the ends of the outtake versions of "Gold Dust Woman" and "Beautiful Child," on the bonus discs of the remastered 'Rumours' and 'Tusk' CDs. :)

"If You Ever Did Believe" immediately comes to mind, I love the powerful "wowowaaaaah" during the chorus. And the "oooohs" at the end.
There are so many of them actually :)

One that comes to mind is during Bella Donna's bridgey thing...when she sings, "you are in love with and I'm ready to sail...it's just a feeling"...then she lets out a whoaaahhhhhhhh...then you hear..."sort of captures your soul."

Or how about the trailing off oooooooohhhhhhaaaaaahhhhhhhh's on Silver Springs? That always gives me chills no matter how many times I listen to it. That is the mark of a GREAT song my friends.

"Pick up the pieces and go home
Go hooooooome
Go hoooooome
Go HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAA---AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!"
Edit: pick up any live version of it. The Dance is the one I like the most.
That should be my fave. :D

Me too!! Best part of the song imo.
And Jake, you're right, the background "ooooohhhh's" in Gold and Braid makes the song much more powerful.

Both outtake versions of GDW from the new Rumours reissue - I love the end of the acoustic GDW with the IYEDB lyrics!
One of my most favorites is the City of Hope OHHHH and AHHHHHHs. No matter how many times I listen to it, I still think it sounds like LB on the harmony (although many people disagree).

 I know, it seemed the best way to get that one across. But I love it, its the bit where they show you (Lori) backing singer in the background too and they are both acapello doing the Aggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I can just hear it now. lol

And then we have the almost pseudo-dramatic moans after the end of each chorus. Unsettling and maybe even out of place to say the least, but I'll still take them over any unnecessary (and once again, pseudo-dramatic) warbling in the 1987-1990 live versions.

I know that this isn't an "oh, ah" but I love it when she screams "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccccccceeeee eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!" at the top of her lungs on the OSOTM album.

I love all of Stevie's extra little oohs and aaahs, etc. And I know this is Stevie's thread, but I have to mention Lindsey's "Yeah...Mmmm" at the beginning of Lola, because that's my song of the moment. Oh my. That mmm just about sends me over the edge...

You got it!!! Yeah, isn't that just an amazing take with the spotlight on them both?
Isn't there a bit at the end where she sings "you'll always be my beauty" and her voice slightly breaks and she looks like she's about to cry? Awwwww blessssssssssss.

Lori has her fist in the air and then throws it down! Doesn't get much better!:)
I love the parts during the song where Stevie is back-lit and looks ghost-like...all in white with her big hair lit up like an aura.:)
