It's yours if you have $17K!!!

Personally, I'd rather have one of the ones he's been throwing around on stage, not for anywhere near $17K tho. I guess if a person is a really good guitar player, this instrument would be worth quite a bit to them, eh? This guitar must be an excellent piece of equipment. I don't play guitar so I don't know.

Hmmm..I don't know much about guitars ( but there are a couple of Rick Turner owners on the Ledge who do!.... Haha....c'mon guys fess up and give us your opinion please)...but I find it hard to believe this has actually gone out on Ebay.Seems like an odd place to me, to sell one of LB's own guitars! Also, I'm confused, if you click on the link, you get a guitar with a different finish, than the one advertised..so which one is he actually selling? If it's a photo shoot one, I would wonder if LB has even played it, maybe he's just touched it a few times while the camera was clicking.....

It's the only guitar I'd even consider paying over a thousand for, but 17? Jesus.

Seteca, do you actually one yourself? If so how much did you get it for, and where from?

$17,500 is an interesting starting figure.

Ed Roman is selling this guitar, I believe, for a third party. It will be interesting to see if he gets any bids at this price. Rick built this guitar for LB in 1997 during "The Dance" tour. It is called the "photo" guitar because it was the least beat up Model 1 and Lindsey used it primarily for photo shoots.

Not all the guitars Rick Turner sends Lindsey actually end up staying with him. At the moment Lindsey owns 5 Model 1's. Of which I believe 3 are original 1979/1980 instruments and two are newer ones, one of which is a brand new 2003 guitar that can be seen during "World Turning" on the Say You Will tour.

Apart from myself I know of three other "Model 1" Ledgies (Seteca, ChiliD and MastaCow) athough I suspect one or two more might lurk on the boards...

Prices vary for a Model 1 depending on specification and where purchased but they vary from about $3000 to about $5500 for a new one. Ed Roman in Las Vegas is a main dealer as is Rudy Pensa's store in NYC and Starrs Guitars in Arkansas. I purchased mine from Smart Distribution in the UK who are great to deal with but if you want to you can contact Rick directly and he will build one for you. Wait times at the moment are about 4 months but can vary.

:wavey: Yikees!!! Why on earth would Lindsey Allow this
guy to sell this instrument unless it is for Charity!?? :o

While sorting photos I found one of a Turner Model 1
with the most gorgeous light wood all swirled and well
"Turned-OUT"! A lucky fan sent it in...Beautiful! Sky:laugh:

Seteca, do you actually one yourself?

Yea, I have a Model 1-C-LB-P...i.e. Lindsey's model plus two extras: a piezo (acoustic) pickup & the push/pull switch which allows you to switch between humbucker and single coil.

If so how much did you get it for,

The total (including taxes) came to about $5,500.

and where from?

Direct from Rick Turner. (We discussed what I want on the guitar in terms of extras, finish etc for a few weeks and then I placed the order with him. The whole process took about 7 months.)

Oh, man, I just had a vision of Lindsey sitting at home going, "Damn, I really would like to post on that Ledge. Those people ROCK! My screen name could be....Red Rover. That would be totally boss."

I haven't enough money to purchase one of LB's guitars, though I almost snagged a Telecaster on Saturday. . .

Almost.
