Amazon is showing the Boston DVDs to be a 2 DVD + 1 CD package.
Here is the Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00023P4B0/qid=1083005626/sr=1-8/ref=sr_1_8/102-4017663-3592158?v=glance&s=dvd) link.
The Amazon link shows no package artwork and doesn't detail any information other than confirming the June 15 US release date.
Thanks to Gavin Brown at the LegBoard (http://b46.ezboard.com/ffmlmessageboardfleetwoodmac.showMessage?topicID=8187.topic).

So, now the question is...
1 DVD concert, 1 DVD tour footage; or 1 DVD concert, 1 DVD recording footage; or 2 DVDs concert...
I'm wrapped about the CD version!!

I think i'm going to wait it out before pre-ordering...I hear even if you order it now, it doesn't ship out when they say it will

It's a bit of a dumb title if this is it, isn't it? There are more mac in boston-kind of titles in their catalogue.....

Gerald - yes, I was wondering about that.

They say it will, they say it will; give it one more chance. At least, save your time and go shop online... It always seems to cut the price if you can, buy off the net.
uh... possible confusion:

Say it will, say it will ship out on time
At least make it close to the deadline
Send me all the tracking digits
And I'll look it up every ten minutes
Edit: Damn Joe beat me to the idea... Oh well.

I think it's going to be the Boston show, Lindsey's Soundstage, and a CD of the edited down Boston show. Mark my words, because I'm right.

Well I doubt it'd be 2 concert dvds, that'd be rather long wouldn't it? If it is Lindsey's soundstage, I have a very good excuse for clinging on til it's released. Although more recording footage would be great, but then the limelight, or indeed the calcium-oxide-light, would have to be spread over more than just Lindsey.....
Like the other members of Fleetwood Mac without which none of this would have happened

I just think that it's more likely to be his Soundstage than the doc because PBS produced both of episodes and the doc was a completely different venture by other business folk. And I don't foresee a CD of "highlights" from the tour, just a watered down version of the Boston. But, who knows, maybe I'll be wrong.

I'd be happy with just the Lindsey performance. That's what I really want. And if the CD is the audio version of that, I would be ecstatic.
Here's what it could be: The FM Boston show, the Lindsey Soundstage and a CD of bonus tracks from the SYW recordings. This of course would be the best of all options.

It is being marketed as 3 discs w/cd. Does not specify what those 3 discs are or 2 DVD's, 1 CD etc.
I have no inside info, but highly doubtful that a Lindsey Buckingham Solo venture such as soundstage would be released with a Fleetwood Mac release. Just too many hoops to jump through for a band with 4 managers, twice that many accountants and double that many lawyers.....
A more logical release, but certainly not the only option is a DVD and then that same performance on a 2CD set.

The info I've heard is vague- sounds like it's likely to be one disc of the show, the other disc the Destiny Rules doc. The CD possibly either the live show or a compilation of live tracks w/ some bonus outtakes and such (possibly including the songs they put on the limited edition).
No way will it have anything to do with anything LB solo.

The doc won't be on there. If it is, I'll buy you your copy.

I think it's a possibility that Disc One will contain the full-length concert, while Disc Two will contain an abbreviated version of the show (the version PBS will most likely air), and hopefully some extras (interviews? videos? backstage footage?).
I'm basing that theory on Mick's comments that there are two versions of the concert (a long and a short), and on the fact that the tribute concert for George Harrison was also released in this manner:
Concert For George (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000CEB4V/qid=1083093176/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-5102861-3815156?v=glance&s=dvd)
Of course, I'm hoping my theory is completely off, because I'd rather not have two versions of the same show. Although a second DVD of interviews, a selection of videos, and other behind the scenes stuff, would be ultra cool.
My other theory is that it's one DVD... containing the full-length performance... and a 2-CD set of the full show.

Wouldn't that just be ridiculous, though? But, then again, Mick thinks everything will make him money.
I just wouldn't see the point of having one DVD of the whole show, then one DVD of an edited show. Who the hell would actually watch the edited show?

The only thing worthwhile about the second DVD, is the fact that it contains interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
Like I said though, it seems like a valid possibility, but I'm really hoping my theory is wrong.

Don't be so quick to say that- the band (especially Lindsey) was really into the documentary, and really proud of the result from what I've heard. None of them want it to fade away, and a DVD release is something that's been talked about.
Not to mention that with the success of the Warren Zevon Inside Out DVD, Warners has certainly thought that the documentary is perfectly viable as part of a package.
It might just be my wishful thinking in hoping for something quality out of the band instead of just hastily assembled crap thrown together like it's some big treat.

They're showing a 2-Disc set for the PBS special, and then the two-disc Boston plus CD thing. Someone reviewed the PBS one and mentioned Christine "stealing the show." What the heck?

I think they may include vintage footage a la the vintage stuff on the three recent releases. But, who knows. I cannot wait to see LB's Soundstage. I was there. It was just a great night. He was on fire. Carne - your gonna die when you see it!!!!! :woohoo:

I know what the CD is! Its Chris' "In The Mean Time"  ;)
More than likley it is a Edited version of the concert, Hey an actual soundboard recording of the SYW tour would be nice, even if it is edited!
The 2 DVD's are probably Destiny Rules and The Concert.

I hope you're right because if it is put in the package, we might get some extra footage like the Warren Zevon one. I just don't think the Mac is savvy enough to do it; if they release it, it'll be on a seperate release. It is the Mac and they're all about the money...

Im confused.
Amazon advertises the Boston show as 3 discs but then underneath where it says "people who bought this also bought..." it shows the PBS special as another 2 discs. Are 2 new dvds coming out?
I may have got the wrong end of the stick here.
