I know Stevie likes to always dedicate this song to someone, but I was listening to the Alpine Valley concert from 1982 (recently posted on The Legacy) and she dedicates the song to the Northern Lights, which made me chuckle.

Has there been anymore unusual dedications? Does anyone know?

She also says that seeing the Northern Lights was either the third or fourth most incredible thing she's ever seen. I wonder what the other two (or three) are? Hmmm.

Has there been anymore unusual dedications? Does anyone know?A long time ago, I got the idea that I wanted to put together a Web site filled with transcriptions (or even audio files) of every "Landslide" dedication I could find in my arsenal. If I ever get the time, & nobody beats me to it, I may just do that.

Or we could just play Guess The Location/Date right here in this thread.

1. "So ... City of the Angels ... I would like to dedicate this very old & precious song to the man who gives us light, Mr. Curry Grant, & this song is called 'Landslide.' "

2. "I would like to dedicate this to Mr. Bill Graham because he is the velvet underground. He started this all."

3. "Last year, on the 17th of October, we were in Concord, California, & we were downstairs about three floors getting ready to do a show at the outdoor amphitheater, & there was an earthquake. And we got on the bus & came straight to [city]. So I would like to dedicate this song to all those people that were in the earthquake that were hurt, & I hope that -- we all hope -- that they're all all right now. So this is for them.

4. "I would like to dedicate this ... since my relatives came from here. I have a great-aunt Sara who lived here about a hundred years ago. So this is for her."

I know one of those. Number 2 is from Oakland, CA 1982.
Am I right?

The earthquake one is 1989...I think.
That would be a fascinating list to compile. She has made some interesting dedications over the years. It would also be fun to see how many things she has said about Landslide, as in what inspired it. I can think of about five right off the top of my head and none of them are even remotely similar. typical Stevie! Always mysterious.

Am I right? You sure are, you son-of-a-gun, you. The others I think are from:

1. Hollywood Bowl Aug. 31, 1980
2. Oakland Coliseum Oct. 20, 1982
3. Sacramento Cal Expo June 1, 1990
4. Cologne Germany June 1980
