Over My Head (single version)

I remember Mick mentioned in his book, that this was one of the first songs on the radio from the white album, and it was changed later to sound better on car stereos.

What I now don't know is, what version was the "car stereo" version, the one in the album, or this "single version". Does anybody know??

when I said changed I mean mixed, re-edited, etc... (don't remember the exact word he used)

Hi Villavic!

The one Mick was referring to that sounded great on a car stereo, was the single version that can be found on 'The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac,' and as a bonus track on the 'Fleetwood Mac' remastered CD. :)

(For the life of me, I'm trying to remember who remixed it. I hate senility.)

It would have to be the single version on the radio. I mean I love the album version too, but unless you BLAST the volume the first 20 second is like nothingness, it's quitest intro in Fleetwood MAc history. Now the single mix just shoots right off and is what Over My Head should've always sounded like. Now you blast that volume and things are just fine with album version, but the sing;e mix is perfect.
