is there any Soft Cell / Marc Almond listeners around here? i got an assignment to interview marc almond, it takes place in two stages, first (in 3 days time) i have to email him a bunch of questions, and then (only next month) after he replies, i get to actually meet him and interview him "properly".
anyway, since i've never been more than a light, and a very casual fan, any question i could ask him right now would be rather banal.
is there anyone (pleeeeeezzz  ) who's got any bright ideas? any possible help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I don't know whether he likes to talk about past projects, but personally I'd love to know more about his duet with Nico ("Your Kisses Burn" from his "The Stars We Are" album, 1988). Why did he ask Nico (as the combination of these two singers is quite unusual IMO)? And what other memories does he have of working with her?

Just an idea. :)

Is Marc Almond the guy singing in Tainted Love? Cool.
Nary a function goes by where I work as a waiter without that one being played.

yeap. that's the guy. my guess is that you know even more of his songs, you must have heard Torch, Say Hallo Wave Goodbye, or his covers of The Days Of Pearly Spencer or Somethings Gotten Hold Of My Heart.

i'll definetly use this one! damn, you just made me browse thru my old vinyls for this one, wow! i totally forgot all about this song! i looooooved it so much at the time... very Siouxie & The Banshees-ish. i think it would be more than appropriate to ask about Nico, since she's dead so it's just paying respect and stuff. it's also okay to ask about Soft Cell, since his last record was the duo's "reunion" album (which flopped miserably) and what i'm writing is actually going to be a promo for a solo concert.
by the way, my queer studies lector (aka mr. garrison) told me there was a rumour going back in the 80's that he was romantically linked to Morrissey, and aked me to ask him about it. now that's a question which i think i'll spare him despite risking my grades.
