Julia
Juliet
Rhiannon
Sara
Annabel Lee
Lily
Jane
These are a handful of the women's names that appear in Stevie's songs.
What guys appear by name?
The only ones I can think of are Jimmy in Jimmy Come Back, Lindsey and Richard in the talking intro to the Rhiannon demo, and the mention of Mick in the Red Rocks Outside The Rain.
Am I forgetting some? (Extra credit if you can find the name Jake in her songs.;) )

Don't forget Greta, Melacine, Cecilia, Amber, Marlene, Marilyn, Emmiline, Mabel, and Joan. There's Christian in Spinning Wheels, and the reference to her grandfather in The Dealer-- "Jesse showed me at an early age, I could get away."
And of course, "Jaaaaake, my... sleepin' aaaangel, catch me when you can". Personally, I'm waiting for another song about lamps so I can hear my name!

You left Alice out of the list of girls!
I can't think of any male "characters" in her songs. Unless you want to count the Mad Hatter (Alice). Or the Sorcerer in Sorcerer (wouldn't it be Sorceress if it were female)?
And I totally missed the point of the thread. Woot! :D

I'm looking to list the proper male names from her songs (not titles/roles).

Well, whatever you do, Jake... don't forget "Andy"!
Stevie mentions him in one of her greatest songs, so he must have been pretty special....
"Andy was just like a great, dark wing...."

Yeah, it's really weird that she has all these songs with women's names in them and not men's. Although it makes sense: Stevie wants us to "read between her lines" and not mention specific guys by name. With women it's a little easier, she hasn't had romantic relationships with them so it's less scandalous.

You know, I had an argument with a girl at work about this. To me, guys' names just aren't as fun as girls' names...girl names are just much more poetic. How many songs in general have a guy's name featured in the song? Maybe there's a FEW poetic-like guy names, but how can you compare them with names like Rhiannon, Sara, Melacine, Pandora (not a Stevie song but a personal favorite of mine), Genevieve (another favorite), Juliet, Annabel Lee, etc. They're just more beautiful, and therefore fit into lyrics better under most circumstances. This is all, however, just my opinion...the girl at work thought i was totally wrong even though she couldn't think of a good guys' name to be the title of a song.

Since this name is utter madness, I just had a hilarious "vision" of Stevie singing Waddy's name to the tune of the name game, "Waddy, Waddy, bobaddy, bananafana fo moddy"....

BTW, I'm sure you know that Waddy is just a nickname. Mother Wachtel wasn't that cruel.
