Okay, what is your favorite album closer and opener from FM? You don't have to pick just one if you can't make up your mind (like me :) )

Okay here goes:

Openers: Second Hand News, Emerald Eyes, Paper Doll

Closers: Never Forget, Wish you Were Here, Second Time, Why

My all time favorites though are Second Hand News and The Second Time. I love Second Hand News, am I the only one that things this song is a little dirty? In the classiest of ways though. And The Second Time is just a masterpeice, although I know I am in the minority there.

What about Stevie solo albums? Openers: Sometimes it's a Bitch, Blue Denim and TISL. Closers: B and the B.

So I would have to go with Bitch as my fav Stevie opener and B and the B as my favorite Stevie closer.

I honestly don't think there's much denying the sexual connotation in the lines "Won't you lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff."

I think the best opener for an album, although this may be cheating, is The Chain from The Dance. WTWCT is my second favorite. Best closer is Gold Dust Woman.

Stevie solo the best opener is Wild Heart (unless I cheat again and say Enchanted from Disc 1 of "Enchanted"), and best closer is Love Is, imo anyway.

I think it's more than safe to assume it's dirty (in a good way, mind you:D)...how about the variation on this line later in the song, "Oh, couldn't you just let me go down and do my stuff"?;)

Favorite openers
"Remember Me" from Penguin (probably their best opener ever!)
"Emerald Eyes" from Mystery To Me
"Monday Morning" from Fleetwood Mac
"Second Hand News" from Rumours
"Big Love" from Tango In The Night

Favorite closers
"Trying So Hard To Forget" from Mr. Wonderful
"Show Me A Smile" from Future Games
"Caught In The Rain" from Penguin
"Why" from Mystery To Me
"Gold Dust Woman" from Rumours
"Goodbye Baby" from Say You Will

On Stevie's albums, my favorite opener has to be "Rooms On Fire" from The Other Side Of The Mirror or the title track of Trouble In Shangri-La; and my favorite closer would be "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" from Rock A Little.

We could have a completely different subject about what songs SHOULD have been openers or closers. I strongly feel that "What's The World Coming To" shouldn't have opened Say You Will, or that "Bella Donna" should not have opened Bella Donna... I say those places belong to "Bleed To Love Her" and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around"... Same with "Skies The Limit"... I do believe Behind The Mask should have been opened by "In The Back Of My Mind"; or Time... it should start with "I Do" and end with... I don't know... "All Over Again".

Oh well.

Opener:
SHA-- it just gets me geared up for the rest of the album, and I never get tired of hearing it.

Closer:
Never Forget--what a great way to wrap up an album, and on such a positive and hopeful note too.
