does anyone know if there are any bad obstructions of view within the first couple of rows in the far left and right sections at blossom? Im in the fourth row and have seat 9 in the left section. Im affraid I will be stuck infront of speakers or something.
Also, where does the band stay when they come out to blossom? its sort of a long drive to cleveland.

I know nothing about US venues but if the set up is the same as it was in the UK you will see nothing if you are too far over to the left or right!

Well Pip is right. Being wayyyy to the side is not the greatest, but I love Blossom as a venue. I think just about every seat is pretty darn good.
But I know how you feel. I think I should be front and center for every show! No acceptions!

I haven't been to blossom since I was a toddler I think, so I wouldn't know, but I'll be going to that show in June. I've got some kinda section 2 seats... I should check those out as well. :wavey:

The one bad thing about Blossom is it's a BITCH to get to! Get there early (very early) & hang out in the parking lot to avoid traffic. There's a long, winding one lane road leading to the lot, we waited for about an hour - ugh!
We stayed at a Best Western (I think) in Cuyahoga - it was the closest hotel to the venue, about 5 miles away (if I remember correctly.) It is a really nice creekside hotel, good views, nice pool.
I'll try to find the hotel info for you.

Well I have been then plenty and hate the place. It is not so much the place but getting out of there is horrible. There is generally no bad seats in the pavillion. I have been up that close for several concerts and the only complaint is that if you are in the first few rows you might be in folding chair type seats. As the crowd gets going the chairs tend to get pushed around. The acoustics in there are good and it is pretty to look at. Stevie always sounds great there. Again, pack water and snacks for the car, it could take a long time to get out and there are no street lights on some of the roads so it get pretty dark in the middle of nowhere. The earlier post gave the advise to get there early, and that is very wise else you will end up parking a good mile away and on grass which is no fun in the rain. Enjoy the concert there, the seats should be ok.

Well Blossom is very wooded and parklike. Yes, you absolutely need to be there early! Steel Mills Road does not accomodate that kind of traffic. Obviously everyone plans on arriving half hour before the show. Well, thats never gonna happen. I've learned the hard way (by missing many opening acts) to BE there quite early. Its a nice environment so you can always sit in the grass, grab a beer or something. I think the pavillion is great. Great accoustics. The stage only comes up to my waist, so the artists don't seem so far away. Security is pretty strick. They do check bags when you enter (though I always seem to get my camera in). And always have to have your ticket at the ready.

If I remember correctly, Blossom doesn't charge for parking (at least they didn't the last time I was there...2001), and you can take your own food in.
Things might have changed since then, but I love Blossom. It's such a quaint, laid-back environment. The people never seem to be as obnoxious as they can be at other more "corporate" venues (ie, post-gazette pavillion).

I've got a job here on campus for most of June, but I think that both shows will be feasable :-)

You are right...Blossom does not charge for parking...and THEY have paved lots, unlike Post Gazette, which charges like $8.00 now to park in grass, dirt and mud!! I actually find it easier getting out of Blossom than Post Gazette. Getting in, now there, I will agree that they have a hard time with the traffic backing up.......depends when you go, I guess.
I continue to try to locate a good seating chart for Blossom, one that actually shows rows and seats, or, at the very least, rows. No luck though!
STIIIILLLLL waiting to find out my seat locations......and waiting....and waiting.....and waiting.......
