There are so many to choose from, we could get a good list of freaky movies going. ;) For those who don't know what a cult film is, it's a movie that's considered to be somewhat rare and something that is considered to be a flop when released. Most cult movies usually weren't released to all theaters, but they have gotten quite popular in recent years. An example would be "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Here are mine:

-Any John Waters movie before 1988
-The Rocky Horror Picture Show (duh)
-Mommie Dearest
-Crash (I'm shocked that Holly Hunter and James Spader made this!)
-Any Peter Jackson movie made before the Lord of the Rings trilogy (My absolute faves are Heavenly Creatures, Meet the Feebles, and Dead Alive). The man has made some freaky ****.
-Killer Klowns From Outer Spaces
-Ed Wood (the movie with Johnny Depp, not Ed Wood's actual movies)
-Empire Records
-eXistenZ (so stupid but so good)
-Escape From New York

I agree w/ your choices, Well, the ones I've seen anyway... Crash was odd, wasn't it? I adore James Spader in anything he does...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Exorcist (I'm cultish about it - the DVD raawks!)
Liquid Sky - cool soundtrack too

Crash was very, very odd. It got banned in Europe because they said it was amoral. The scene with Spader and Koteas towards the end of the film in the junkyard was priceless! But, yeah, Spader is so awesome. I just bought that flick he made "Tuff Turf" on DVD. Such a cheesy 80s flick, but I love it.

Liquid Sky?! That movie is f*ckin' WEIRD! I bought the soundtrack at a flee market a couple years ago; it's fab.

Lust In the Dust!!! I *love* that movie. I've been trying to find it to buy but I can't find it anywhere. Female Trouble is priceless, one of his best, and Pink Flamingos is...entertaining, to say the least.

I've tried to forget the tomatoes. ;)

The Hunger? Brilliant! Any movie with Bowie, Deneuve, and Sarandon is bound to be fantastic.

I agree with this one! (Not the 2000 update, though. The ending sucked.)

Once in college we had a Muppet Movie/Exorcist movie night. I've never looked at Animal the same way since.

When SS goes to CD's house and CD answers the door and the daylight shines on CD and makes her, if possible, even more beautiful than she is - PHEW

Then when CD is playing, I believe, Brahms on that huge grand piano and SS says "are you flirtink with me Mrs. Blalock?" and CD responds "Not that I am aware of Miriam" and she just keeps playing. Sex on screen and competly and totally erotic with no touching IMO.

Great minds . . . .

My fav. part is when the announcer says "Even the mere mention of the word tomatoe causes panic" and then you see the people in the library and the guy sticks his head in and says "TTOOOMMAATOOEEE" and everyone flees out of fear!!!!!

We're doing a section on sexuality in one of my classes, and we were just assigned to read the book and see the movie yesterday!!!

I've already seen the flick, but now I have to read the book and I can only imagine how it compares to the movie. My word. This'll be fun.

Let it be said that John Waters is the master of cult movies. He's awesome. Pink Flamingos traumatized me, but it was hilarious!

Another great one is Mommy Dearest!! "Nooooooooo wiiiiiiirrrrrrrre hangaaaaaaaaaaaars evaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

what trips me out about it is the fabulous David Bowie. Unfortunately he dies in the first 30 minutes or so.

Love "Evil Dead 2" (moreso than the first which I thought dragged too much), but I was never sold on "Army of Darkness." I do love the scenes in the pit and the scenes in the windmill, though. :)

I actually love the ending in "S-Mart". Great stuff.

I rumours of a fourth, which would be awesome. Ash rocks.

I remember this one.
"Fronch fries, Fronch bread, Fronch dressing, and Peru."
"Reminds me of the moonshine Ricky's dead Pappy used to make."
"Would it be okay if I asked Stacey out?"
"I want my $2!"

Wasn't Helena Bonham Carter the exchange student?
