Yes, I was the first costumer in my local recordstore this morning, and Yes! after half an hour the deliveries were there. They opened the boxes and there they were! In the meantime I rambled on about the brilliance of Tusk and immediately after opening the packages I listened to the bonus-disk. The people who work there saw that my "advertising-talk" earlier was heartfelt... this teary-eyed son-of a B, looked up and laughed at them. I bought them both, don't wanna spoil anything, but after the first three tracks on the bonus disk you're up for a treat that reached my soul immediately. F*ck. This band is at least as brilliant in the process as they are brilliant in the endresult.

And the soundquality? Amazing. Listen to NTF, all you NTF-haters... You'll reconsider your opinion, cause that endthrash is friggin' brilliant, now that you can hear that every guitarpart has his own character as well as every "drum" clap has his own feel and sound.

Dude, how is that possible to get it that early- I thought it is supposed for Tuesday or so! Congrats anyway, I hope amazon works quick also. Tusk remains my fav album. BTW- what about IKINW on the reissue disc1 - is it the vinyl version or the CD version with the different chorus?

I also got them this morning! Well, apart from Tusk because I remember reading that this was going to have a redisigned package (a digipack I thought, or a slipcase) but it was in an ordinary jewel case. Maybe only in the USA or am I mistaken here? Does anyone know?

I am listening to "FM" as I write and the sound quality is AMAZING!!!

By the way, most major releases are available on a Friday in countries like Holland and Belgium for some reason. I ain't complaining hahaha!

I got them today too.
Yahoo they are great !!
At which store did you get them gerald ?
I got them at van leest. (the guy there also gives me discount ;))
Free record shop, (where i myself work) doesn't get them and now mention when they will be available there and even wether or not they will come in at all.
Idiots at buying i say.

I also bought copies on amazon.com (yes pathetic me also colects difirent printings lol)
Looking forward to the carton sleeve.
I agree on the soundquality it blew me away too.
My only disapointment is that "I Know I'm Not Wrong" is the cd version , but i agree with Gerald the 3 early versions on the Tusk bonus disc make up for allot.
The cd labels are very nice , they are the same as the label in the middle of the vinyl record (so with rumours you get the warner with the palmtrees , and with tusk the white label, ect ) VERY COOL TOUCH!!
I'm sure i'll get trough the weekend fine :):)

So with the Tusk remaster, did they include all the mindblowing collages in some form? What about the pic with Stevie and her scarf lying on the ceiling? And what's all this about digipacks vs. jewel cases?

If anyone has them and a digital camera, can you please post some pics? I'm way below the poverty line at this point in time, and won't be able to get them in the near future...

Good old Kroese , only one store in Nijmegen and One in Arnhem. I don't need percentage off, because this store is (usually) a lot cheaper than Free record or van Leest. I paid 18 euro 90 for each album. The white album wasn't there yet, but they said they'll price it 12,90.

only a few days and a few hours , and i figured i was not up for a busy saturday yet.

i got tusk and rumours for 20.69 each and the white album for 13.49 not a bargain i agree but he i would have been willing to pay a 100 each for new fm releases lol

Sorry, I don't have a digital camera but you won't be disappointed with the collages and there are extra pics I've never seen before. The disc itself looks like the label of the original vinyl record.

I hate you all! Okay, well maybe hate is a strong word, I'm just dying of envy here! Could it be that the record store employees are clueless and think that because they're re-issues that the release dates don't apply? Then again, I was in Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago and a clueless employee was unpacking DVD's that had the words "DO NOT PUT ON SHELF UNTIL" whatever the upcoming Tuesday was. It was Saturday. She never even noticed-just kept putting our the upcoming releases for next week. Why can't the employees at my local record store be this clueless? Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until Tuesday in my neck of the woods.

I just looked at the other thread showing the remasters' back cover art, and now I'm confused...

Are any of the tracks on Disc 1 of Tusk edited in any way? How did they get the original album version of "Sara" to fit on Disc 1 without doing something to one or more of the other songs?

When 'Tusk' was originally released on CD, compact discs could only hold 74 minutes of music, but now they can hold 80 minutes.

The total running time for 'Tusk' clocks in at about 76 minutes, so it fits on a CD with total ease now. :)

Yep, I have had the full version of Sara along with the rest of Tusk for years, thank God for Cdrs and Cd Burners. With the added room I also added Red Rover to my last tusk mix, it fits in very well.

The reissues "sound" amazing, and the way you guys describe them they must look amazing too, can't wait.

Sister of moon has all the lyrics now, the mix on the second disc has the added lyrics in the booklet if u have the old non-remastered version.

Here are three things I noticed right away about the tracks on the reissues:

On the White Album... The Say You Love Me remix is different from The Chain version. It's the full remix :) The Chain version cuts out a chorus at the end.

On Rumours... Silver Springs is the same version found on The Very Best Of FM (without the full backups) but it's 20 seconds longer at the end. This is VERY cool.

On Tusk... The remix for I Know I'm Not Wrong was used again. It would have been nice to hear the original, stripped down vinyl version.

OMG, Dissention...we're on the same page! I always listen for that glass breaking sound too!

But no, it's not there because the vinyl album original with the fade intro was used. I favor the cold start intro more...that version has a cold stop ending too, and of course that "breaking glass" sound.

The slightly longer version of Second Hand News was also used again, instead of the vinyl album original, which has one fewer "yeah-eah" at the end.

ahh.. I love a Fleetwood Mac day.. that's what I call the day when there's a new release from my favorite band. So far and few between.

Picked all 3 up at the Borders on 14th and F in D.C., and was happy to see them displayed on the top shelf of the new release rack. I figured I would have to go back to the pop/rock section. But, there they were, front and center and I grabbed all 3! $19.99 for Rumours and Tusk, and $11.99 for Fleetwood Mac.. and worth every cent.

I just finished listening to Fleetwood Mac and realized again why I love this album so much. I haven't listened to it in a while, and it does sound better than ever. This was the album that my little sister gave me for Christmas in 1976, and I stayed up very late that Christmas night, listening to the album over and over through headphones. Fleetwood Mac became my favorite band that night.

Nice packaging and pictures and text (little history of the band). The cd fits into a cardboard cover (they all do..like the Very Best of..) and the cd label is the Reprise label on the album. Nice touch. You even get a Fleetwood Mac official merchandise ad that reminds you to shop early to avoid disappointment (that Mick). :-)

Remastered to perfection.. and hoping for this one of dvd-audio..

now on to Tusk! I'm skipping 'Rumours' because 'Tusk' is my favorite FM album, and I can't save the best for last. at least not tonight.. Also, I'm not for sure how this version of 'Rumours' will top the DVD-audio.. which, too me, is perfect.

My discs will be arriving tomorrow (according to the email I just received from CDUniverse), but I'm kind of surprised to hear that they didn't use the "classic" version of "Silver Springs," as it appeared on the b-side of "Go Your Own Way" (and, of course, on 'The Chain' boxed-set).

I'm also surprised that they used the faded-in album version of "Gold Dust Woman," but used the CD mix of "I Know I'm Not Wrong."

I have the Tusk cd and it is awesome! Had to go to two Best Buys to get it though and they didn't have the Rumours one or the White Album one.

Best Buy only ordered three of each for each store. I looked at the salesman guy and said "You all must have no idea how many FM fans there are out there who've been waiting for this forever"-I got the last one at the Best Buy I finally found it at...

The collages-these are Lindsey's work, right? I wish the pic of them were bigger so you could read the writing in the background..

The long Sara is the Cleaning Lady version-I'd hoped it was another version I hadn't heard-but it is beautiful anyway and lots better than the bootleg I've been listening to all these years.

I haven't heard the whole thing yet so am going back to listen now.

I am so excited to have this cd!

The screams/howls on the end of the remastered "Gold Dust Woman" are a LOT louder to me and more pronounced. It sounds like Lindsey and/or Mick and Stevie doing them.

I am so in love with Stevie's background vocals on the Oh Daddy outtake that I can't even describe. So beautiful. But I know why they were scaled back, they are way too loud. But beautiful :)

I'm getting ready to watch some March Madness - go Oklahoma State (my team in the office pool), and I'll be listening to the remastered Tusk album during the games. ( I listen to music while watching sports.. can't get into commentators).

Tusk. I loved this record from the first time I heard it. It was something that I didn't expect at all (after Rumours), and it instantly became a part of my world.. My love for this band was elevated with Tusk... It was all that I listened to.. I was in college and I carried the album everywhere and played it nonstop. I was one of those fans that did take Lindsey's left turn and understood it, and fell in love with Tusk. It remains one of my favorite records.

anyways, the music sounds better than ever.. and it is well worth the $$$... This is like my 5th Tusk purchase. I first bought the album (bought 2) , then the cassette, then the CD, and now the remaster. I sure would love to hear this one on DVD-audio.

but on the downside. :-(

not too crazy about the outtakes, demos disc. I loved a couple - Beautiful Child and Farmer's Daughter.. but i didn't really need 3 I Know I'm Not Wrongs. I listened to disc 2 once, and went back to listening to disc one. The band definitely selected the best versions for the album. imho.. I know I'll wander back to disc 2, and will like it better the second time, but now I'm enjoying the Tusk record again.

I'm also a little (just a little) sore at the fact that I know this band must have some original songs they never released but recorded during this time period.. 3 songwriters and this is it.. I just know there has to be some hidden treasures out there..

anyways.. Tusk sounds amazing. Someone said that they made a mix of the Tusk album and included Red Rover.. I can see how it fits.. I can also see how a few other songs from Say You Will would fit into Tusk and vice versa. .

Sara just came on. No edit! DVD audio of Tusk , please. :-)

I agree with you. Outtakes and demos of songs we already have on the official album is nice. But what about the unreleased songs? Like Fireflies or The Dealer? C'mon, guys! That's what we're all *really* wanting. And, of course, all those songs nobody knows about that I'm sure exist.

update-03/29/04-Finally received the Tusk reissue. While the actual Tusk album sounds better (Storms has a more vocal sound than on the original cd) I am disappointed with the material on disc 2. (Why did they use a stripped down version of the acoustic version of Storms when there is a full band acoustic version available?)

I finally got the reissues! Just one thing - has anyone had any problems with any of the tracks skipping? The White Album, both Tusk discs, and disc one of Rumours were all fine, but the second disc of Rumours is skipping like crazy - especially on SHN and POTU. I'm about to test it on a different CD player (I'm listening to it on my portable) to see if I got a bad copy of it.

Well, out in Canada I think they forgot who Fleetwood Mac is. It never fails, everytime thier is something new, the stores never have it.
Very fustrating.

I believe you may have gotten a defective CD. My Rumours bonus disc plays just fine.

Well I'm in Canada... And I see them everytime I'm in a music store - HMV, A&B Sound etc. Are you in a city or a smaller town Alison?
