Has anybody else noticed that the keyboards between the first two verses sound a lot like the alternate version of Isn't It Midnight that's on the FM boxed set?

Yes they do...very much so. I actually like this version of RTTG and I do have a soft spot for Isn't It Midnight (I loooove Lindsey saying, "dafaceobapweetygirl" )

Isn't It mIdnight is one of thsoe songs that I put on repeat constantly. It rawks. You can tell Chris just wanted to pull a Stevie and scream "Weeeelllllooaaaaahhhhkjkajkshjbcsnmbjshrfkmgjk!"

I know not many people like Stevie's performance on the Tango in the Night video, but isn't she great on this song? Especially whenever she breaks into the "WEEEEEEEEEELL, isn't it midnight." But I also like her harmony during the verses. I just wish it was in the studio version (the harmony might be, but it's too faint for me to pick up on).

I really like Stevie's harmonies on this song also. :)

I wish Stevie was more audible in that recording as well (and more prominent in Little Lies).
AND: I love Stevie in the TITN video. I love that version of Stand Back and I even like Seven Wonders pretty well. It's amazing though how much more refined she is than on the Red Rocks video which was only 2 years prior. I did sort of miss the dancing and energy that the Red Rocks Stand Back had. To me this is where the most obvious change in her stage persona happened, or the division between the wilder, sex drugs and rock n' roll Stevie, and the more sedate, "singer-songwriter" rock n' roll veteran Stevie.

Absolutely. She went from Tasmanian Devil to zombie. Even the way she wears here hat is different; she holds her head differently.

Actually it was just under 1-1/2 years. Actually, if you look at it in terms of years, one was 1986 and the other was 1987. I only point this out only because it makes it more unbelievable. However, within the context of the drug use, it's not all that hard to understand the change in stage persona.

"FFAAACCCEEE OF A PREETTYY GIRL"

I loved it and I loved SN in the TITN video.
