This is for a practical joke, very tounge in cheek, for a friend of mine. And this is with all due respect to Ms. McVie...

I have the beinnings of a song about her quitting the Mac, but I can't finish it. Anyone interested?

To the tune of Say That You Love Me:

Have mercy, baby on a poor girl like me
I am ugly as sin and can't sing like Stevie...

Any takers?

(BTW, I do like Christine and she is not ugly, it's just all that I could come up with.)

If that's the bests you can come up with, then don't quite your day job...

Ouch!

It's not that bad...I'll keep it in mind and let you know if I come up with anything.

Sorry, I took out the line about the looks and singing. I think Chris looks great and sings great, so I'm not even joking about those qualities.

SAY BYE CHRIS MCVIE

Keep Lindsey, Stevie, but you've toured the last with me,
Been a Perfect, McVie, Quintella; now I'm ready to be free
I'm letting dogs pee on each English rose,
They're digging, digging, holes just like in Stevie's nose

'Cause when the new tour starts and band fights go down
And there's only my ex-husband keeping voices down
They'll miss me when they try to play "Don't Stop"
And they'll say, "Where is Chrissy?"

Love cooking, baby
More than singing Over and Over
Now you'll find me boiling, broiling, baking near the cliffs of Dover
I'm missing Mick, but not enough to perform "Hold Me"
If he kicks Stevie again I'll toss another drink at Lindsey

'Cause when the new tour starts and band fights go down
And there's only my ex-husband keeping voices down
They'll miss me when they try to play "Don't Stop"
And they'll say, "Where is Chrissy?"

Goodbye Baby, now I'm gonna stay away
'Cause I love my castle, castle, castle, in every single way
I'll still be Nicks' big sister like I used to be
And if Clinton runs for office again you might see band reunion with me

'Cause when the new tour starts and band fights go down
And there's only my ex-husband keeping voices down
They'll miss me when they try to play "Don't Stop"
And they'll say, "Where is Chrissy?"

Leavin' Leavin' Leavin'...

Have mercy baby on a poor girl like me
Cos you know I was married, now divorced from John McVie
And Stevie and I go back a long time ago
To that 'Rumours' album made in that pokey hole.

Cos when the squabbles start and the lights go down
Stevie and I would go into town
And we'd stay out till the sun comes up
IN Salsalito

Have pity Johnny want to tell you that it's over
Now I'm running an ale house with my other lover
I'm pulling pints and now I've got the knack
Much better than keyboards and touring with Fleetwood Mac

Cos when the squabbles start and the lights go down
Stevie and I would go into town
And we'd stay out till the sun comes up
In Salsalito

So Johnny Johnny hope you're very happy now
You play that bass like no one ever did know how
My sequinned jackets have seen better days
But the bubble has burst and glitter always fades

Repeat chorus

Pullin, pullin, pullin (pints)
Pullin,pullin, pullin
oooh yeahh

Pullin, pullin,pullin

Sausalito. Sorry, everyone misspells it here, and it drives me nuts.
There's no salsa in Sausalito!
