Okay, film Beauty And The Beast, Jean Cocteau's ( Le Belle et la Bette) film that Stevie wrote the song to, as well as the Mick relationship(*I think) the DVD is pretty expensive, so, for those of you who have seen it, is it really worth it... Like I saw bits of it, and it seems kind of corny to me, but that was just one part... Is it really as enchanting and great, as some people on the board have said it was? Thanks

I had seen the film late on a Saturday night on PBS, before I ever realized the Stevie connection, and I fell in love with it right away.
In fact, much less than half way thru, I was so taken by the beauty of it all, that I stopped reading the English subtitles, and just watched.

For me, it's visually compelling and exquisitely romantic... and trust me, I'm not a romance film buff in the least. 'La Belle et la Bete' and 'Somewhere In Time' are IT for me (well, ok, and 'Beautiful Thing,' though I'm not entirely sure that would be classified as a romance film). Otherwise, I'd rather watch a good comedy, mystery, or some musicals.

Anyway, I'd suggest that you see if you can borrow the video from a local library, or rent it at a video store, before you decide to purchase it.
There's a good possibility that you won't like it, so you'd be saving yourself 40 bucks. But then, there's always a good possibility that you might love it, so it's definitely worth checking out. :)

I saw it years ago & was bored stiff, but it seems to be very popular around here.
