November 14th show cancelled

Just heard from someone in Germany that the November 14th show in Nürnberg, Germany was CANCELLED. The ticketing site is also reporting a cancellation. The November 16th show in Kiel is still on as far as I know. But I wonder if that show will be cancelled too so that the band can fly back for the AMAs!

and came up with the following:

Translation:
The meeting was called off.

"Platzkategorie derzeit nicht verfügbar!"

Translation:
"Place category at present is unavailable!"

It's a rough translation, but it sounds like it could be a cancellation.

I hope that's not true. It would be so... rude! Not to mention disappointing for all those who are looking forward to going. I know what it's like to have an event you have been looking forward to for ages cancelled. I'd be crushed if the London shows were cancelled this late in the game! If it is true, it should be rescheduled instead of cancelled.

My Shangri-La show in St. Louis was cancelled the week before the show; ditto for the SYW show in Memphis. They've been touring for quite a while, so I guess it's just a part of life.

Well yes- it's a cancellation for Nürnberg. I checked the other dates but up until now there is no other information about additional cancellations nor any info about the reason.
I guess it's time for worrying about the other dates nonetheless...
If they do so, stay at your TV`s and check out news about a chainsaw massacre at the AMA or whereever they may be then

I'm sorry but don't take this lighthearted: you could pick up another show on both tours. these people have been waiting 23 years: the tusktour was in 1980! Lindsey and stevie never performed together since then! And they are just one month in europe..... if we are lucky:( :( :( :( :(

Yes unfortunately on the Website of the Nürnberg Arena they say it`s cancelled and no more tickets on sale. No reasons mentioned. But I always thought it was an odd choice to pick for the south of Germany Nürnberg instead of Munich and for the north of Germany Kiel instead of Hamburg. Frankfurt for the middle was obvious as was Berlin and one show in the West like Oberhausen, Cologne or Dortmund. This cancellation in the only non english speaking country of the tour a few days before is no good sign... Let`s hope this will be the only show to be dropped.

Ah, what the hell. If it is indeed for real, then I just have to live with it. Maybe it's even healthier to see just one show, if the things remain exactly the same. But I would have loved the opportunity to shout out exactly the same things before the same speeches two nights in a row. FM's fans can play this game too. ;)

Yeah, I guess Nuremberg wouldn't have been likely to gather huge crowds anyway. Too bad, Stevie especially would have loved the city.

They've always played in Nürnberg at Rock am Ring (Rock at the Ring). I'm surprised this date is cancelled and let's hope they won't cancel any more shows. I've only got 5 days to go for the Oberhausen gig and the site of that hall says:"Pre-sales haven't started yet". I already have the tickets. If they will cancel Oberhausen they will break my heart. How can they cancel Nürnberg at such short notice???? If it had to do with the ticket sales, pick a smaller venue. They shouldn't do this to us. Like shackin' up said, we've been waiting for 23 years to see Stevue & Lindsey..... They can't do this to us :distress: :( :distress: :(

Very sorry to hear about this for any fans who were intending on going to this show.....it's totally out of order for them to cancel just days before the show without VERY good reason.

I hope this isn't a sign of further cancellations...That final night at Earls Court on the 10th December is selling VERY slowly. There are adverts for it on the radio many times per day...at least once every hour, and posters all over London. Compare that with the 29th and 30th November shows...which received, comparatively speaking, very little advertising. I really do hope that the reviews of the shows in Europe, along with TV & radio appearances of the band and the Peacekeeper single will help to severely boost sales for that final night.
