I am happy to hear they got rid of him....BUT....I will not go back to that board even if they get rid of Todd. The moderators over there aren't gonna change and as far as I am concerned they are just as guilty as Todd for their rude behavior.

However, there's nothing wrong with discussing the general opinions others are sharing elsewhere!

This is definitely big news, and I know that everyone is greatly interested in this, and what the future holds for a fanclub under new (and hopefully improved) management. :)

I get the impression that Todd & Sabremark will still be in charge of Mick's site. The "moderators" there will probably stay in place. But at least the fanclub will be in (hopefully) better hands now.

Most people arent actually BANNED from Mick's BB there's a glitch in the program...a lot of AOL Users cannot get on it without going to the internet explorer browser...i dunno if that's your case though!

Most people are banned, due to the over-zealous mouse clicks of admins and mods that don't know their asses from their elboes. :nod:

Well I haven't visted that board in about 6 months and didn't really feel like trawling through it again, so I just read the replies to the Knight's proclamation.

Basically 3/5ths of the replies were 'That's great news!' which seems to indicate that many of the people that post there don't (didn't? ;) ) like The Knight and what he did. The other posts were sort of "Oh - I'm so so shocked" or 'Why?" <--- head-in-the-sand cases. (Oh to be so innocent).

I think that you are in the majority on that feeling. If Todd stays on Micks site, that is on Mick. And, Trin and Jackie and Todd can sit around their campfire. Thank you ALL for all your help, for not being afraid to stand up, for signing the petition, for making calls, for writing letters, for filing legal and formal complaints. FMac has the greatest fans on the universe and I hope that we all know that FMac cared about their fans. Needless to say, I am THRILLED. Totally and Completely. :wavey:

I look forward to a good year, finally, with the fan club. Maybe now we can see how a fan club is supposed to be run.

I think that most are banned Chris. There were glitches with that site from day one, what a great computer guy that one was, but, if they try to spin it to you that the bannings were glitches, or that the fact that your IP wasn't blocked when you were banned, that would be a lie. When banned, your IP addy was blocked disallowing you back to Micks chat site.

I think that is true if you are on dial up. If you are on cable, it is not. What I did was get a router that changes my IP addy all the time so that he can't find me. Supposedly AOL changes your ip addy all the time, but, not on cable...help...can someone splain that Lucy? haha..out of my league.

I think it is great that Todd the Toad is done with the fan club, but it is a shame that he will still be involved with Mick's board.

After the rash of bannings, I left that board never to return (except, of course, to read of The Knight's demise). The ridiculous abuse of power over there is what pissed me off the most, and to think that idiot is still going to be there just shows how Mick protects his own :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Thanks to everyone else who got involved but chose to remain anonymous. After some of the dirty rotten things that were pulled on certain people early in this fight, it was hard to see this ending in favor of the fans.

Thanks to the people in the band who care and to their interested parties. You know who you are. We love you more than ever!

I personally apologize to any other fan I hurt or dissed during the fray, except those snakes who voluntarily got in bed with that mangy mutt...or should I say, slimy Toad?

I apologize to the band for believing they didn't care. Some of them care about us and their people care, too. I doubted it in the beginning, but I was wrong. I'm happy to admit it. Yipee!

Does this reinforce my faith in cycles? :laugh: Well, it does reinforce my faith in people. Thanks to everyone who supported this effort, especially the owners of this site for allowing the fan club issue to be discussed here uncensored. I don't know the Adelsons personally, but I know they've got the best damn fan site on the Internet. Thanks for keeping it alive.

This thought just came to me . . . I hope they didn't have to "buy" Toad out of his employment contract!

I am guessing that he probably had one - maybe there was some kind of provision in there that allowed them to "fire" him under certain conditions. So some of this delay could be because of legal mumbo jumbo. Just a thought!

Well I'll join in in saying how glad I am he is gone, lets just say my ticket buying was a complete disaster and I was such a pain that they eventually had to admit that they made a mistake at oakland and the passwords got posted early but the tickets that were sold during that time were not fan club tickets, mind you no refund was offered, thank goodness the tixs were good, but geez you would think that when joining the Fan Club you would want to buy those seats or at least not get stuck with the leftovers from the vip presale, and then have some ditz on the phone tell you that you have no idea what you are talking about, only to get an e-mail from the club later that you were right.
I think it took so long to fire the guy b/c he probably had about a one year contract, (I'm thinking its been about a year). I've also noticed how little participation from the band has been going on so I would be that this has been brewing for a bit.

Hate to be negative but this just seems like a political move. JT is probably happy to leave now since he's got all the money he's gonna get from this project by now (since they consider the US market the major one, I wouldn't say that but...) and by getting in new folk, it makes it look like they care about the fans.

I hope by the end of 2004 I can say I'm wrong about this and they will prove they care by doing something and not this "how it looks" stuff on it's own which to me doesn't prove a thing really. JMHO though. :)

Regardless of what happens, anything will be better than JT Managing the club...the year extension of memberships was a very nice gesture, something Todd had nothing to with I assure you...and I hope and I think things WILL in fact get better....a lot fans contributed and put a lot of hard work into this effort, and it really did pay off...Lindsey's management was concerned from day one that his fans were being mistreated....and thank God he is gone now...

Oh I had no doubt that Todd had nothing to do with good decisions like this :) but Lindsey's management is much smarter than Todd and co. as they (LB's people) know how to get the job done while making themselves look good in the process, something Todd will never learn to do for sure. :)
