Favourite Lindsey video.

This hasn't been done before, so let's give it a go! Which Lindsey video do you prefer over the others?

I have to admit that I haven't seen Trouble, but I know from descriptions what it's like, supposedly not much interesting things going on. The only video of his I dislike is "Slow Dancing". I hate that posing at the camera, it gives me disturbing images of David Hasselhoff. :eek: While "Go Insane" is a bit creepy and "Holiday Road" is fun, I still prefer the OOTC videos over the others. Those show a relaxed, trouble-free Lindsey who isn't afraid of laughing at himself. Especially "Wrong", a lot of great humour there and playing with the matchbox appears very Lindsey-like to me. So that's my pick. :)

Some great moments... Flaming guitars, "playing" the matchsticks, a nod to the fat cats at the record company and the songs based on Mick too which makes me laugh every time I see it... :laugh: :laugh:

Tie for me between Holiday Road and Soul Drifter. HR is such fun (love seeing "executive" Lindsey!) and Soul Drifter is so beautiful and sophisticated.

I like it mostly coz it's Linds at his most goofy (yes, dreadful lipsynching and all...) You have to remember all those 80's videos were pretty funny and this is no exception..besides the song is fun too.

Off topic- I became a FM fan after seeing the Big Love video and thought: "Wow this guy is somehow cool!". So I'll always remember this one too.

I haven't seen some of them, like Don't Look Down. But between Soul Drifter, Countdown and Wrong I ended up going with Countdown. I swear he is lampooning Stevie and her videos with the dancing and the hallways! Also I think its inevitable that your favourite video is inextricably linked to the song itself, and Countdown does more for me than Soul Drifter. In fact I think I like the Soul Drifter video more than the song! Great look.

Like any good site madnessfades (http://madnessfades.net) is full to the brim so I haven't even scratched the surface of it yet, so far mainly focusing on the Songs section.

It's a great video, like the other OOTC videos. His touring band all doing that mexican wave etc, that tour must have been such a fun time for everyone.

If memory serves, most of the Holiday Road video was clips from the movie.

No it isn't. It is LB in an office setting, wearing a suit and tie, dreaming of escaping, which he does at the end, as he walks off into a "forest" of trees, wearing a very 80's yellow jacket.

Sharon's right. The Holiday Road video oddly enough actually has NO clips from the movie!

It begins with Lindsey working in this dark, kind of 1984-esque office. There are dozens of desks just like his, and some guy at a podium is yelling at them all. He's dressed in a suit and tie and looking very miserable.

There are scenes of him imagining himself in a jail, or watching a man who looks a little bit like Mick (which I thought was funny, since Mick is his real-life "boss") wall him up in the room (think Edgar Allan Poe). At one point, he goes to a water cooler and the thing explodes on him, lol.

At the end, poor business Lindsey is stuck watching "cool yellow Jacket Lindsey" leave. I get this as him giving up the dream, aw. lol

Videos don't interest me much.
Forgive me for using this comment as a springboard for a rant, but apparently FM feels the same way. They haven't done a REAL video since the mid-90s - I do NOT count the live stuff. Come on, people, get your act together and do SOME kind of video! Stevie did it, why can't they?

But then again, they're not even playing Thrown Down or SYHA live (although from Soundstage we all know VERY WELL it would be no sweat for Lindsey to play SYHA live). They apparently have very little interest in putting out the effort to promote this album at all. At least Stevie is doing interviews now and not leaving Lindsey and Mick to do everything.

By the way, what's Osama Bin Laden doing in that video anyway?
lol! Brings to mind the South Park episode where Osama kidnaps "Stevie Nicks" and the rest of the members of Fleetwood Mac are hidden by the government. I don't like SP, but that had me rolling!

I do not like Trouble.
I like Countdown most of all. The outdoorsy feel reminds me of Little Lies, and it's nice to see he's happy instead of brooding in this one.

Trouble is definitely plain and boring IMO and It Was I, he looks like his posture is off as his stomach bulges out like he's in pregnancy and the red shirt does nothing for him. So I don't like those Law And Order Videos.
I think Wrong and Countdown are great videos and Soul Drifter and Don't Look Down border on bland and plain.
My favorites I guess would be that 83/84 mark with Holiday Road, Go Insane and Slow Dancing. But after writing that I do have a soft spot for Wrong, Lindsey looks cute as Hendrix!

I got mine off of Kazaa, but if you have VH1 Classic, you can see them on there occasionally.

It seems I've got to do a little promotion for "Go insane". I wonder if a lot of you don`t like the clip that much or don't know it...? Lindsey opening these boxes again and again and looking at himself doing so - I like that. Unfortunately I only have a very crappy video tape copy (or shall I say the copy of a copy of a and so on copy) and wasn`t able to find it on KaZaa up until now. But I keep on trying. When somebody loads it up on his website then please let me know folks and I`ll be there! :wavey:
