Wow! Congratulations to the both of them!:D It seems so weird to be congratulating Lindsey on his third child, when I never thought I would be congratulating him on his first one. How times have changed for Liddy Buck! Congrats again.

I guess the timing might have to do with finding someone who he wanted to share his life with and beginning a family at the same time as he re-entered FM.
As for timing and children, it's not at all unusual for couples to have children 2-3 yrs apart and Lindsey is 54 and enjoying his new life with his wife and family.
Not everything has to do with his relationship with Stevie so I guess I didn't see the joke, sorry:)

Well...here goes.....
Congratulations, I guess....
I don’t know….. Unlike the last two, I think the Buckinghams' third child WAS planned.
But this is what I think::::::Fleetwood Mac sees the empty seats: PBS Boston,…… Madison Square Garden…..etc….. where it counts.
>>>>>> Fleetwood Mac won’t be back in the spring as originally thought. April is not booked. Perfect time for a birth. FM can’t sell enough tickets. What else is there to do when a career is fading? LB's new music can't be released. So....continue the family…..
When Buckingham was single…..and Nicks was slimmer during The Dance tour in ‘97, wasn’t each venue a sell-out? Not that was all that had to do with a successful tour, but it is somewhat.
One of my brothers saw them live recently ..and scoffed that the concert was a circus act with Buck's kids climbing on the stage. Pretty uncool. He laughed that a pregnant backup singer was also on stage. Why then, would I want to see a show like THAT?
There’s NO WAY Buckingham will have time to make any more great music with all those kids.
How long ago was it when he wrote his last love song????? In 1995????
Is he able to even WRITE a love song anymore??????
Here’s Buckingham looking really happy circa 1993. This was Buck’s most prolific period, IMO. {Scroll down} Out of the Cradle …..ahhhhhhh……..!
http://www.tulsamusicscene.com/ikons.php?who=Liza+Carbe+of+Incendio.inc
Say You Will didn’t sell well. We fans are in the minority saying we
love this CD>>>did you know that? Try playing this album for friends who aren’t familiar with FM and they think it’s …. uh…..reeeeeaaally strange……dark….unhappy… written under the influence of drugs with the voice distortions {Red Rover} and Indian music {Illume}?
Yes, Nicks is heavier now, but neither Buckingham or his wife look ANYTHING like when they got married >>>>>>>>>>just three years ago!!!!!!!!!
Check www.burnish.net Buckingham gallery with the LB & K lei wedding pic and Mrs. Buckingham's Behind the Music picks…..then check the gallery at Les’ fine, new www.madnessfades.net {family II) to see the change. A couple people mentioned on this Ledge site that it’s the kiddies that have caused the aging. Definitely…… But LB changed>>> in just one year…from his 2000 wedding to 2001 New Years’ performance!!!!
Is it best to put this band to rest? Pass the baton, as they used to say.....?
And check out DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL??????

Well i can't say I'm terribly excited...another child means a delay for whatever could possibly be released by the Mac in the future. And damnit, I'm selfish with my MAC MUSIC!
As far as the comment made about fleetwood mac hanging it up? Whatever man. Maybe you're not fan after all. And Dashboard Confessional suck. Chris Carraba is a hack. I met him in Atlanta years ago and the guy is very, very unappreciative.

Whom they're with off-stage is of no importance to me... just so long as they're making music.
I just thought I'd make a little joke, and hopefully make a couple people smile or laugh.

4 Buck-You write some of the most abusrd, out of left field posts on this board. I am sure most are to get a rise out of people and not intended as relevant, as they are grounded in the same reality as those who believe in life on Pluto.
The PBS taping boston was for 1000 invited guests. No tickets were sold. The next with the Fleet Center set up for a capcity of 18,000 the show drew 17,000. This after playing two sold out days at Worcester Centrum in late May to nearly 30,000 people combined.
At MSG there were only 1700 unsold seats. The night grossed just over a million dollars. Not bad for having played dates at the Meadowlands Arena, Uniondale, Jones Beach, & Bridgeport, in the last few months. As long as these shows gross about 750,000k they are breaking even. The only show not to do that was Grand Forks. 750,000 covers all the expenses related to the production, personnel, travel, arena etc., plus the guarantee to the band. After that its profit for the band, promoters, management, etc. 1 loss out of 70 plust dates is amazing.
As for Say You Will Warners' expectations were 100,000 copies the first week with eventual platinum status. It sold over 200k the first week and has sold about 800k to date.
As for not being able to do anymore album work because of children. Many peolpe with children go to work everyday without the spectre of having months on end to take off and work from home. Again that probably escapes your reality on Pluto.
Oh Yeah-Congrulations to Mr. and Mrs. Buckingham. May their marriage and children continue to be a spark to create wonderful and inventive new songs. Hopefully the band continues to enjoy such mass popularity, but if not, I am sure I will enjoy the work Lindsey and Fleetwood mac do in the future.

Wonderful news for Lindsey and the Mrs. I couldn't be happier for them. As a new papa myself, I know there is no more joyous event than bringing a child into your life.
I have no doubt Lindsey will continue to be the awesome creative force he has always been. He will have yet another source of inspiration.
It's a wonderful thing.

Congrats to the Mr. and Mrs. Buckingham and to Mr. and Mrs. Carne Vaca!
As far as creativity goes, I actually found myself with MORE inspiration and drive to create after the birth of my first child (if less time). It changes your perspective and your focus. Her birth was my re-birth in a lot of ways.
Cherish this time Carne! The first year goes so fast and you'll never have another time like it. At two and a half, mine is so fiercely independent that I find myself missing her infancy. So leave work early whenever you can, take time to watch the baby sleep, cherish smells and sounds, and take photos and video of everything! Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy! :)

Well, I can say that this is good on Kristen's part but i'm still not sure what Lindsey thinks...In my opinion it wasn't planned b/c this is a world tour and I just think it's just not right...idk...But whoever said this is happened b4, they're exactly right and me being the big mouth that I am--i'm not going to say what I think...lol...But it's true that it happened b4 and i'm not so thrilled about it happening again...Anyway, I just hope they'll be touring again b/c only seeing them once so far is just not enough...

I'm sure they will do what's right for them but lets face it.. she is only pregnant! It doesn't have to stop anything! And we should be grateful for that touring that they have done so far. JMO

I found your thoughts amusing too Johnny Stew. I guess Stevie gets Lindsey so riled up he gets back to the hotel room and...LOL! Joke!
Im surprised about a baby in April because he will be on tour up to then and she will be alone in her later months ( I hope she isn't going to Australia in that condition, its like a 24 hour flight!) but I am happy for them! The more children the better, and the other two are so adorable. Kristin is very young but her husband isn't, so Im sure he wants to get his family in gear.
Age didn't slow him down at all:):)

Hey, Johnny Stew, it's ok, I got a little chuckle (and I can't help that similar thoughts crossed my mind at first as well).
Kind of odd though, and makes me a bit upset really - Mick Fleetwood & Lindsey Buckingham are having babies, Stevie Nicks is having hot flashes......
Well, I wish the Buckinghams all the best!
Congrats as well to you Carne!
And I'm going to put my money on the new Buckingham baby being another girl.
Anybody else getting in on this??!!!

Hey Barbara,
Just to clarify... I know you posted this almost two weeks ago, but I just now saw it. What I meant by my "off topic" comment was that MY well-wishing to Carne was off-topic from the original topic of the thread (the new Buckingham), not that it was off-topic for Carne to share his good news! It certainly wasn't. Since no one else had said anything yet and I thought it would change the original direction of the thread, I was attempting to submit a little apology for doing it, though probably none was necessary.
Make sense? I certainly wasn't trying to be rude.

and Johnny Stew, yes, I thought the same thing, but like most marriages, it may be ok for someone else to start the engine as long as the car remains parked in the family garage...lol

So I am really late posting a response to this but still wanted to add my 2 cents.
I am very happy for Lindsey. It is obvious that he is now able to fully enjoy having the family he always wanted. He did his "living" ie partying etc back in the 70's/80's and dated his share of "lovely" ladies. Now he can be the family man. Seems like a lot of celebrities do things the opposite of us "normal" people, but all the power to them.
I am an SnL romantic and I will always believe that they are soulmates that share a very special bond. However, it seems like both of them have lives outside of FM that make them very happy. Just because Stevie doesn't publicly state that she has a significant other doesn't mean there isn't someone special in her life. And if she doesn't, then that is what makes her happy.
I have to say that Kristen and I must have been on the same wavelength in July. I am expecting my 2nd child the end of April. My daughter will be 3 in December. Hopefully Kristen isn't having nausea like I am. Otherwise I don't see how she will be traveling with overseas!!!!
