View Full Version : Christine sighting
Evidently, on September 26 in London, there was some sort of awards ceremony sponsored by Capital Gold, which, I believe, is a radio station there. Perhaps the UK Ledgies can clarify more. I'm not sure what the awards mean, unless it was just an excuse for some fun. ;)
Anyway, Fleetwood Mac was selected as the winner in the Legendary Album category for Rumours, and Christine accepted the award on behalf of the band! I've attached a picture of Christine that I found on the Capital Gold site.
Here is the description and list of winners from the site:
http://www.capitalgold.com/
The first-ever Capital Gold Legends Awards were held on Friday 26th September at the Hilton London Metropole. The stars came out in force for the gala dinner auction and awrds ceremony, which was punctuated with live performances from the cast of We Will Rock You, The Moody Blues and Marti Pellow. The Wet Wet Wet frontman played a world-exclusive new version of the band's 1994 No 1 'Love is All Around', backed by a string quartet.

Still beautiful.. but looking very tired. :( I miss Christine. It's a travesty that we don't see or hear more about or from her.
Thanks for sharing.
wow! thanks for sharing that! she looks GREAT!!! pretty tan too....i thought England was always cloudy!!! ;)

Wow...even though I think she's really aged since we've last seen her (it HAS been five years now), she looks amazing.
But look at those monstrous HANDS. This just reinforces my theory that this woman has massive appendages. Don't believe me? Look at one of the pictures from the Rock and Roll HOF induction...when they're all standing there with Peter Green...her feet compared to Stevie's are huge.
OK...just a weird observation.

Thanks Les, it's nice to see Christine out and about! I think her face looks very, very thin. Anyone else agree with me? And Josh, her hands do look rather large, but maybe it's just the camera angle????

She looks great, and I don't think she has really aged that much. It has been 7 years now anyway! I wasn't expecting her to look as wonderful since this is the first time we have seen a recent photo of her in a while.
I love Christine.... What is she doing in England? Join the band please!!!!

Thanks for posting the beautiful picture of Christine. She looks terrific and what a pretty smile. I've only seen 3 pictures of Christine in the last few years and she's had a beautiful smile every time. Living at home in England must agree with her. I also noticed the wedding ring, too.

She looks very, very good. Love the tan. She looks very happy. How old is Chris now? Whatever she's doing certainly agrees with her.

She looks lovely!
I don't think she looks tired. She's definitely aged, but she continues to age very gracefully. She's adorable.

I'm really glad to see Christine after all this time. I became a fan after the release of The Dance, so this is the first time I've actually seen her since the DVD. She looks great, always has. I'm really glad to see her with a smile and know that she is happy. In a way it confirms that her she is not locked away in her English castle playing her piano in sorrow. I'M SO EXCITED about her new solo album. :D

Well done, Les!!
The last pic I saw of Christine was of the honorary doctorate conferral ceremony from a few years back. She's got that poise going as usual - 'class act'!
People say she looks older six years on from The Dance, but between her and Lindsey, I'm not sure who has aged more... possibly the latter.

I hope I look as good when I'm her age! She's SO thin, too (*offers Chris some crackers and peanut butter*)...

And that is saying a lot... even though Stevie looks much younger then Christine, as far as the candid pictures go, this pic is much better then most of the candids Stevie takes.

She definately looks 60 now. A very put-together 60 though! She makes for a very cute older lady.
Even though she looks great for her age, she doesn't appear to be the kind of person that would be touring the world at the gruelling pace that Fleetwood Mac does. She looks like she should be relaxing now. :)

Also, her "Bel Air Chic" sense of style is killer!! Check out how quietly cool her necklace is.

Indeed she looks like a cute older lady... she almost looks like she should be selling real estate or something. ;-) Although it is readily obvious that all of the years of heavy drinking, smoking and sun have taken its toll on her skin. At least it's good to know that she is still keeping up appearances. By contrast, you should check out someone who finally gave up altogether: Grace Slick:

Yeah, her aging surprised me, but she is 60 and not getting work done down in Kent Im sure. Im sure shes very natural, in the sun and just aging as comfortably as possible! She looks good, and she looks happy.
This just makes me think she will show up and do a show! I bet she does Dont Stop in London! You guys are lucky!
Thanks Les, AGAIN, thats great shes out and about. I just hope she's happy.

Yeah Grace finally succumbed. Instead of looking unusualy good for her age like most celebrities she's just accepted that she can look like your average 60 year old. She still doesn't look THAT bad. Compared to a lot of 60 year olds she looks good. ---I just came in to change this, since I've looked at the picture again. She just looks like a regular 60 year old. Her hair SUCKS. Her skin is still nice though!
What I don't get is Grace looked SO good for the Behind The Music on Airplane and all of a sudden is your regular grey-haired grandma. Her hair was long and gorgeous and she appeared slim and in shape. She's put on some weight and totally neglected the hair.
One thing. My mom said that she likes being 50 better for the reason that you aren't always worried about your appearance since people don't expect you to look like your roaring 20's by then. My mom still looks good for her age but doesn't fret about the wrinkles and junk. Maybe Grace is to the point where she just doesn't care if she's meticulous about her diet and always has perfect hair and makeup. So long as she's in good health it's irrelevant.
Anyways though...Christine! You can't tell she was a heavy smoker/drinker/coker/sunner at all. Usually people who smoke and do a lot of drugs can look at least 20 years older than they are. I think she looks better than what your regular 60 year old lady looks like. You can tell she's aged some but you don't think "Holy ****! What happened to Christine!?!" in the least.

Ok.... I'll probably get blasted for this but I have to comment on this. IMO Christine has had a job done on her face. Good on her if she has!! I know I would if I had the money! (not now but when I'm older...lol)

I, too, think Christine has had, as we say in the South, another "hysterectomy" (slang used intead of the name for the specific plastic surgery procedure). I, too, say good for her. Its her body, she can do with it as she pleases and whatever she is doing or did certainly has agreed with her!!!

I agree Pip, now that I look at the pic more.
She looks so different, its probably because she's gotten work done. Looking at the pic, she just seems so different, but I can't pinpoint where.
Again, I just hope she's happy. Thats all that matters in life. Not how you look!

Love Christine.
Love that Rumours still gets awards.
But what the hell is she holding? Who the hell designed that award? It looks like conjoined Hersheys kisses (with almonds).
No offense to the rather creative designer. :(

Whew! I'm glad someone finally said it. Good on her is right! She looks radiant. Thank God she didn't go to Marie Osmond's doctor. Her surgeon did an excellent job. Very natural looking.

I think it's just her leftover touchups from The Dance. She was a pretty hot 55. :)
She looks noticeably older, but not bad. I don't think she's had any work done. It's ONE picture, different angles can make a world of difference.

Or Jackie Zeman's.
Or Faye Dunaway's.
Or Melanie Griffith's.
Or Joan Rivers'.
As long as she can cross her legs without her mouth opening and her lips don't look like they were caught in a pool drain, Christine's surgery is fine by me.

Maybe she'll at least make an appearance in the audience of one of the FM shows in London? That would be nice of her and I bet the other members would absolutely love it if she did.
