:wavey: Hi Everyone!!!
Lindsey was just interviewed on Charlie Rose for a
half hours time! He looked Handsome, Healthy and
HAPPY!!!Charlie obviously admires his music!
Charlie started out by explaining he met Lindsey's
wife in an antique shop and asked her if she thought
she could talk Lindsey into coming on his show!!!
She did and it was a great time! Lindsey was right on!:D
His answers were frank and funny and he was proud
to be a Husband and Dad at this late date in his life!!!
" Just a wonderful time for me now...a huge miracle!!!"
p s......
My modem burned up in the lightning!!! Soooo I was
Lucky... Was up just in time for this great program!:)
THANKS Kristen!!!! :] :] THANKS Lindsey!!! :] :]

It aired here in CT already and was a nice thirty minute segment. Though Charlie said it was his first time having Lindsey seated before him on his show, I do have footage of an interview they had done in 1984 when Charlie was on CBS Nightwatch. Lindsey was not in the studio but plugged in via a tv feed.

That was GREATNESS!!!!! Lindsey is soooooo frickin cute!! That girly laugh was evident tonight! LMAO!!
"I am pushy."
I really enjoyed that. What a nice interview.
Last time Charlie interviewed Lindsey in 1984 I don't think Charlie had really hit his stride yet as an interviewer and Lindsey was clearly in a different and darker frame of mind, plus he was linked via satellite, which it seems he's always a little bit uncomfortable with. I've always thought it was a shame that that 1984 interview wasn't as good as it could have been. But this one was pretty great. Loved every minute of it. Thank you Lindsey and Charlie.

I enjoyed the interview. Even though they talked way toooo much about his relationship through the years with Stevie..... I'd like to of her more about the SYW tour and album......
True, they did cover too much of the same territory again. But I guess I've given up that interviewers will ever stop wanting to talk about "all those Rumours," so I just expect it, as I'm sure Lindsey does, and I hope it's at least amusing. ;)

....I was a bit shocked......
LB looks NOTHING like the cover of SAY YOU WILL....
My first thought: Lindsey Buckingham - Alan Alda separated at birth.
Really.
Gosh...for the long ago days of the 1997 MTV special.......

Also shocking...
Compare Nicks' weight gain from the PEACEKEEPER video of earlier this year, to the clip from the June SYW Chicago concert, both shown on the Charlie Rose show last night. Quite egregious....

You know what? I like turned on the channel that show was supposed to be on...and it didn't:( Now I missed Lindsey talking about Stevie? That's one of the main reasons i'm fans of these two...I like their relationship;) And there goes 4Buck talking bad on Stevie again...Will u just leave her be? She's an older woman now and she's fine the way she is...God!

Yeah, Stevie is just so fat and gross! *rolls eyes*

You keep posting pictures from THE DANCE. That was 1997......
Check out the Chicago SAY YOU WILL video from the Charlie Rose interview with Buckingham. See how much weight Nicks has gained since the DANCE.
Goldie Hawn is older now, too. She looks great!.......

Ah, but this one was squarely dead on full-frontal. But I know it must be humiliating to be hung by your own petard, so to speak, so I understand this kind of backpedaling damage control, lol.

This full frontal one makes Nicks look heavy.....the hips...
The aerial one was posted under the Stevie's weight topic.
I'm just saying FM is conning us with their "touched up" photos on their CD covers, and possibly videos (Nicks in Peacekeeper) that they are not what they look like in real life.....

Everyone who has their picture in a magazine or on a billboard has it touched up. None of them look like that in real life. Conning us?? Get over it already

Amen to that, Sugar! Get off this Stevie weight obsession, 4Buck. Don't you get tired of CONSTANTLY tearing the woman to shreds?
Give it a rest!
::looks up at the title of this thread::
4Buck, what exactly does Stevie's weight have to do with Lindsey's interview, anyway? Maybe I'm slow, but I thought blue background= Lindsey's board.
GeminiStar03
09-05-2003, 03:33 PM
But the thing is--STEVIE IS NOT OVERWEIGHT! I don't understand how someone could say that?! I'll admit that I didn't see the Charlie Rose thing b/c for some damn reason, it wasn't on in my area...Anyway, I think that Stevie is fine the way she is. How do u think that Stevie would feel if she came on here right now and read that rude comment? You saw how touchy she was with that fight her fans brought up at one of the shows! She loves her fans and would never think that they would disrespect her like that! I still want to know what Lindsey said about Stevie on that interview, could someone tell me, please? Anyway, like I said--those pics I posted, those aren't from The Dance--that was from one of the latest shows!

4Buck is a woman? Wow, I would have thought that 4Buck was a man by the way they were just picking on Stevie's weight the whole time...Hmm...Well, I don't know why it has to be such a bit deal b/c everybody gets older and there is just some things that are not controlable. I think that Lindsey looks real good! I have friends that are younger then my age(18) and they find Lindsey hot! I think he is hot! LOL! With Stevie, she does a good job with keeping herself up. I mean, she doesn't get plastic surgery, she doesn't expose her body, she's great and I could never imagine anyone as beautiful as she is. I mean, if 4Buck is so only interested about the members of this band's weight--she should go and listen to Britney Spears b/c her looks are what sells--FM's looks aren't what sells their records. I think that Lindsey wouldn't care if Stevie weighed 200 pounds, I think he really likes her still and it's obvious by some of the concert pics i've seen and what i've heard from friends that have seen the show already. It was so sweet how Lindsey like kissed Stevie on the cheek and then as she started to walk away, he grabbed her to him and planted this big hot kiss on her mouth! ;)

Back to the topic at hand...LINDSEY...on Charlie Rose.
He admitted to being pushy, that was funny!!
You can download the entire show over on www.burnish.net!!
I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish they had discussed the album and tour more tho...the old Rumours/Stevie relationship is WAY PAST OLD.
If the fan club REALLY wanted to impress me...they'd let a REAL FAN win a chance to interview a member of the band!!
Oh, and BTW...LINDSEY IS HOT and ALWAYS WILL BE!!!!
AMEN AND HALLELUJAH!!

Yeah, I want to know about the album but i'm more interested in Lindsey and Stevie's relationship...I just wanted to hear him say something about her and I didn't even get to c the show...I think I will go to Burnish and check it out, though. Thanks for the link.

Surely you know you're just going to get everyone riled up? It serves no useful purpose. In fact, it's sort of cruel to the regs here.

But if you've been hearing about their "relationship" for 25 years, you may be more inclined to yank your hair out by the roots if you have to hear them talking about it one more time.
Kinda like certain songs in the set list: Some people want to hear "Gold Dust Woman" because they haven't heard it 750 times already. Naturally, there are exceptions!

I could not agree more. While it's always nice to see Lindsey, especially in a more mature forum than that VH1/MTV crap, it's just a shame that he has to talk about that old stuff every single time he gets in front of a camera.
Maybe when his solo album comes out he'll get to talk more about his music

I really enjoyed watching this interview, not necessarily because of the questions he was asked, but to see him so relaxed (well the Lindsey version of relaxed)! I have never seen him smile that much. He is at a good place in his life, both personally and professionally and it shows.

Since I am not intrigued or fascinated with their relationship, I could really care less. I love Lindsey's MUSIC and THAT is what I wanna hear about.
WHAT was he thinking about when he wrote Red Rover Was it REALLY Greek gods or whatever, was it death, WHAT?!?! LOL
Who would he love to duet with more than anyone else on earth?
Would he consider ever releasing GOS on his own independent label or something?
How does he approach lyrics, does he sit down and just let it flow from him, or does he wait till inspiration hits?
Do his children love music as much as he does, do they sing with him, does he sing TO them?
What song does he wish he had written, and if it's a Beatles song, I swear to all that is holy...... LMAO!!!
I found Lindsey because of his MUSIC, not the SnL relationship, sure, they are musical soulmates and have a special connection, but LOTS of people do...they aren't the ONLY people on earth with that.

Well sooooorrryyy...LOL! I just had a simple question about what Lindsey said about Stevie...LOL! I can't help it if these 2 inspire me and I find their relationship fasinating. There's not any other couple that I know that has such strong chemistry the way SnL do...I think it's sweet.

I wasn't directing that towards you!! LOL I was just venting, I've had a difficult week...sorry if you took my post to be directed at you.
I did wanna state tho...that it's about the MUSIC for me...always has been...always will be. You folks that love their relationship and stuff...that's cool...have at it...whatever floats your boat, but for me, I am SO bored with him discussing the relationship and I've not been a fan for 25-30 years, I've only loved them since March 2001!! LOL

:wavey: Call us very shallow...but we all
were just fascinated to watch our
favorite Guitarist... being so HAPPY
and talking about his wonderful life
for a whole 1/2 hour...no adverts!!!
Lindsey seems pleased to be back
with his friends Mick and John and
former singing partner Stevie Nicks!
"My life is the best its ever been and
it is a miracle I have a wife and two
beautiful kids at 53 years of age!!!":)
post script:::::::
We thought the same thing.....Kristen
recognized Charlie Rose and mentioned
they talked about him the night before!
Charlie asked Lindsey if he could tell the
audience about meeting his wife and he
said with a big grin...Sure tell them!!! :)
GeminiStar03

Ack! Who would want to meet his wife? Ack! That woman is so materialistic it's not even funny!! I know someone that worked with the lights for one of the shows and Kristen--she was showing off how Lindsey had bought her this diamond necklace and she was complaining about how he did not get her the matching earrings along with it! I'm sorry but I don't care for that woman one bit. I'll be happy when Lindsey finally realizes that Stevie is the one for him and I don't care if they've had a hard time in the past, they're older now and a lot more maturer! I can see it in Lindsey's eyes and in Stevie'e, they're something special there and there always will be.
Kim
Hmmm. Cyndi Adams wrote a gossip column on Lindsey when the band was in New York. It was a very tongue-in-cheek piece, which is always Cyndi's style, in which she teased Lindsey for not buyng his wife earrings to match a necklace he'd bought for her for Mother's Day. It's awfully interesting that this story is so similar to Cyndi's column - similar enough to make me think the Cyndi Adams column is probably the original source of the story. It's funny how stories get passed around and, I suspect, get a little bit mixed up. ;)

Gemini,
its fine if you think stevie is the one for him. but was he suppose to just sit around all alone in life and not go on after ,their relationship ended. stevie ended the relationship , so whats a goreous guy left to do? you dont know his wife. he looks happier than he has in a very long time. the fact that he is happy and in love, makes him able to be the man he is today , meaning being able to try to let go of all the crap from the past with stevie and to actually be able call her his friend and vice versa. granted it would of been a fairy tale ending if they never broke up, but they did and he went on to find happiness, and id like to think stevie is happier today as well. we all have been in love and have had our hearts broken, but you move on and if lucky enough, you fall in love again. and he has. good for you lindsey, love to see him smile and laugh, he is sexier than ever. they are lucky to have found each other.

Hopefully someone will not take a 30 second snapshot of you and define you and your whole life by those moments.
I agree with Les that this is directly from the Cindy Adams column and was totally tongue in cheek, except for those that want to twist everything to suit their fantasies.

Well said, thank you.
And Kim, in the TWENTY FIVE YEARS after Stevie dumped Lindsey, he had two serious long term relationships prior to marrying Kristen. There was plenty of time and opportunity for him to get back together with Stevie - he just didn't want to. Nuff said.

P. S. Could we try a little harder to stick to the topic of the thread? Like, if you didn't see the Charlie Rose interview, it would be okay to just go on to something you're more familiar with!

Actually, I don't even think that I will be returning much to this board b/c I had no clue on how many rude people there were on here...Yeah, I admit that I have a big mouth but this is the only board that i've seen that has been sarcastic to other fans...The people on Burnish are correct, I think that most of my posts will be stuck there.
