List up some songs you want BN to perform at the Soundstgae show! Keep in mind the show will lend itself to more intimate arrangements, as I understand it.
That's Alright - the acoustic Designs of Love version.
Gypsy - the AHI 2000 version.
Countdown - acoustic version from the OOTC promo recitals. Likewise, Holiday Road, both with Stevie singing along!
BlueGrass
08-25-2003, 10:51 PM
Trouble - Lindsey's biggest hit
Countdown - Full band, it would rock!
Red Rover - He can do it!
Street Of Dreams

Another for the wishlist ...
~Thrown Down~ !

acoustic Gypsy
Frozen Love
Crystal as a duet
acoustic Go Insane
Don't Look Down or You Do Or You Don't
The Ledge (Really! I like this song even if I'm in a tiny minority!)
Blue Letter
Without a Leg to Stand On
When I See You Again with stronger vocals
SOTM on acoustic guitar!
The Highwayman with Lindsey rather than Don
I hope we don't get the stuff they do on this tour already (such as Big Love, Landslide, and Goodbye Baby), but I believe we will.

Without You and Frozen Love both with just just one acoustic guitar.
Wouldn't Sara be interesting with just one acoustic guitar and perhaps Stevie on a piano. (sighs)
Whatever they do, please oh please let LB and SN sing whatever they sing like I know they can. I think this could be a huge opportunity for them. I cannot wait to see this!!!!

WISYA - great choice, Jake!
As for The Ledge, you're not in a tiny minority! I'm sure it's much more like a moderately-sized minority! I can definitley see Stevie doing 'doo-doo's for the little instrumental break in the middle!

Marissa - you are a genius! :blob2: Definately I've Been Loving You Too Long. That bootleg Nancy posted was just unreal.
"I don't want to stop it now..."
BTW, The Ledge? I thought it was just Lindsey singing on that. He made it in his bathroom at home I believe. :D

I love that...I wish they would have recorded it because it's red hot
As far as The Ledge is concerned, i'm like, 100% certain Lindsey and Stevie are singing on it. Give it another listen and focus on the backing vocals. It's Stevie
So, "buy another fixture?" I guess a fixture for the bathroom?

I would go crazy if I heard 'The Ledge' live, that would be excellent.
I would want them to sing...
'Red Rover'
'Thrown Down'
'Angel
'All my sorrow'
'I don't want to know'
'Acoustic Gypsy'
'Long Distance Winner'
'Stop Draggin my heart around'
'Walk a thin line'
'Leather and Lace' (ha like they would ever sing this song together)
'Say Goodbye'
'Rhiannon' (with Stevie on piano and Lindsey on guitar)
'Save me a place'
and the entire album of tusk...

I never thought Stevie was on The Ledge.
But now that I think of it, this is the song that Murrow reminds me of. I couldn't put my finger on it before. The vocal style, the pace.

I can almost swear I hear her unless he's messing around with his own vocals like he does and making them sound like her. The aboooooouuuut at the very end certainly does sound like her. Anyone know for certain??
Yep, it does sort of remind me of Murrow.

*SPLAT!* *toilet flushes* Bye, bye, Jake the fly. Somehow, I don't think the room would have been big enough for both you and Lindsey. He'd have squashed your ass for buzzing in his ear...

I hear Stevie on 'The Ledge'... I don't think Lindsey is messing with his voice because it sounds just like her...

I've never heard Stevie on this and still don't. Lindsey did a slight voice modultaion. You compare that sound, which sounds totally homegnous, to other songs where they harmonise, and there's two very different timbres of oice. Here his voice has just been moved up to a Stevie pitch. Whether he did this deliberately I don't know. It would be nice to imagine that Stevie would have been onvolved with that song but I'm afriaid I doubt it. Bathroom job all round ;)
Now, That's ENough For Me, on the other hand... clearly recorded in the kitchen..

Yeah...on the "you can love me baby but you can't walk out" part...there's Stevie in the background.

I used to think that it was Stevie...but then I came to know Lindsey's voice better and the things that he's done with it over the years. And I'm CONVINCED that it's just Lindsey. There's no doubt in my mind.

Regardless of whether or not Stevie is on the studio version of "The Ledge" (because we may never know!), I'm pretty sure they rehearsed for the Tusk tour. So there is some precedent for the two of them performing it!

My votes would go to: Gypsy, Sara, Crystal, Red Rover, Steal Your Heart Away, Thrown Down, and of course my old fav Landslide...
I just hope they break from the SYW tour mold and bust out with an eyepopper!

I can hear Stevie as clear as day on The Ledge. It's one of the best tunes on Tusk, too!
I'd absolutely die if they did Crystal. It's one of the best tunes out there, period. To see the two of the them onstage doing it would bring tears to my eyes. Anyways, I'd love these songs:
The Ledge
Crystal
Storms (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Oh Diane
Edge of 17
Soul Drifter
:D

Hear Is What I think Lindsey Will Do...Realistically :
Peacekeeper
Trouble

If they were both in that bathroom, they would have sung "counting on my fingers, counting on your toes".
they don't, so i think "they" are lindsey and his voicetoys.
I'd like them to do the ledge, though.
and I don't want to know,
without a leg to stand on,
say goodbye,
red rover,
save me a place,
wtwct,
big love,
beautiful child,
landslide,

If these are "intimate" concerst I can see this as being an all acoustic set. I gave my setlist before but what would Lindsey use for as a band? I don't think he would use The Mac and be just playing his live tunes. This is why I think now it will be all acoustic.
Here is my setlist prediction...
1 Big Love
2 Sardonic World/Go Insane
3 Never Going Back Again
4. Gypsy
5. Landslide
6. This Nearly Was Mine/Street Of Dreams
7. Soul Drifter
8. Countdown
9. Say Goodbye
10. Red Rover

I have a rehearsal version of "The Ledge". Its from a Tusk Rehearsals boot CD. If someone can tell me how to make a copy and post it or email it I will gladly do it. You can hear Stevie on the song.

....Since my wish for Janet Robin and Liza Carbe to hook up with Lindsey probably won't come true (the three of them seemed to get along famously on his OUT OF THE CRADLE TOUR):

.....then I'd like to hear any of these numbers performed by Lindsey and/or Stevie:
CRYSTAL
LONG DISTANCE WINNER
STEPHANIE
WITHOUT A LEG TO STAND ON
I'LL TELL YOU NOW
HOLIDAY ROAD
LOLA, MY LOVE
TROUBLE
IT WAS I
SHADOW OF THE WEST
LOVE FROM HERE, LOVE FROM THERE
GO INSANE
SLOW DANCING
LANDSLIDE
SILVER SPRINGS
GYPSY
TANGO IN THE NIGHT
SOUL DRIFTER
YOU DO OR YOU DON'T
COUNTDOWN
DON'T LOOK DOWN
SURRENDER THE RAIN
ALL MY SORROWS
SAY WE'LL MEET AGAIN
THIS NEARLY WAS MINE
And....Buckingham's poem from OOTC tour and the DANCE tour
Or I'd fancy ANYTHING by either Nicks or Buckingham from their current SAY YOU WILL cd.
Janet Robin on Buckingham ....."like sitting down with Mozart"
(Cosmik Debris - 1998)

A lot of the wish lists here are far from realistic. Here's what's going to happen:
If it's a Lindsey solo gig with just his guitar and Stevie showing up for a few songs, here's what I predict:
Big Love
Never Going Back Again
Soul Drifter
Peacekeeper
Say Goodbye
Landslide
Gypsy
Beautiful Child
Love Minus Zero/No Limit
Go Your Own Way
Goodbye Baby

But that was the rehearsal for the concert, not for the album cut, wasn't it?
(Sorry if it wasn't your point to say that Stevie is on the album cut)

Save Me a Place would be a great choice as well. He played it during his solo tour and it sounded absolutely wonderful. Here's a song you can easily pull off with one guitar.
